Although I empathize with you on your experience with HLL on a high end PC, I’m also relieved. Used to play HLL on my GTX 1080 flawlessly. I have since upgraded to a 7900XTX/7800X3D build at 1440p, and HLL just does not play well on it. Micro stuttering is constant and nothing seems to fix it. I’m glad I saw this video because I had some people convince me that it was because I was on an AMD platform and should switch to the 4080 Super. Glad I didn’t waste my money just to experience the same stuttering. Please let me know if you find a fix.

I fixed the stuttering by having the windows resolution set to the same thing as the game resolution and make sure your windows scaling is set to 100%. I was playing on a 4k TV and had the scaling set to 300% so I could read text but it made this game unplayable on any resolution. I just have a 3070 and it wasn't ablet o run this game on 1080p until I set the display resolution to 1080p too, then it ran a buttery smooth 70fps. But yeah 1080p on 4k screen is not great so here I am thinking about he 4080 super...

i wonder why your stuttering so much, i have a more outdated pc. ryzen 3800x cpu and radeon 5700xt gpu with 32gb ddr4 ram and i play at 1440p with medium settings and well i get less frames (70lows-90's) but i dont stutter like that. is it because of directX12? i recently found out from another video to launch the game in DX12 but i havent done that setting yet in the games file on steam, i wonder if thats why

For some reason, HLL just doesn’t do well on higher-end PC. Talking from experience. I used to run the game flawlessly without dx12 on a GTX 1080. I now have a 7900XTX paired with 7800X3D and it’s a stuttering mess. Nothing fixes it. The game is just not optimized and dx12 isn’t really supported by HLL; it may stutter more at times using dx12 on a high end pc regardless of the fps and frame limit.

Hellooo.... Have you seen any degradation issues with your 13th or 14th gen CPUs?, Also try it with AA set to community I think it is, makes it sooo much clearer, and in the AMD drivers enable morphological AA.... looks so clean then... for AMD cards obviously

Not sure specifically what you mean by degradation but only issue ive had is unreal engine 5 games crash if i have it at a 5.7 clock. A side from that no issues

@@BenchmarkBoy its not just impacting unreal, apparently its something to do with the e-cores and p-cores sharing the same rail on the die, and the rail isn't capable of providing the voltage being requested. Intel have released a statement suggesting it's impacting any 13th and 14th gen CPU that draws 65w or more. It's exhibiting in a number of ways, one if the out of video memory error, others are just random reboots, black screens, hard crashes. you might be ok if you've not had the CPU using more than 1.5v per core, but the default bios values mostly allow or request more than 1.5v especially post vdroops.

​@@Denbot.Gaming From my own personal experience i haven't had any issues in anything other than unreal engine 5. And even in unreal engine 5 as soon as i set it from 5.7 clock to 5.6 it works fine. Didn't have any issues with my 13th gen when i had it

@@BenchmarkBoy you must have got lucky with the golden samples, check the news, even server farms running them at the lowest form of stock setting are seeing almost 100% failure rates.. I seen it first hand with a 13900KS... As they degrade they require more voltage to maintain stability, but it's already running on its limits, or beyond its limits, the next gen intel CPU has the same flaw as well apparently... Not sure if that's just rumors but it was a mores law leak that one

Bro I play HLL with RTX 3060 Ti with EPIC settings on 4K and it averages 120 fps, so basically the same experience.

There's no way you get 120 FPS at 4K ultra in this game with a 3060 Ti. That's total bullshit, and nobody is believing that crap. To get anywhere close to 120 FPS at 4K ultra with a 3060 Ti, you have to use upscaling in balanced or performance mode. I have looked at various 3060 Ti benchmarks for this game, and none of them get even close to 100 FPS at 4K ultra. You are definitely using upscaling to get 100+ FPS.

just tried it with my 3060ti on 4k and top end i hit 110 fps but averaged 80-90. In chaotic scenarios dropped to 60 fps. So yeah he’s wrong but i didn’t need any upscaling to keep around 80ish average.

I have used these Steam settings for the last two years with 0 frame stuttering on a 3080ti, 5900x, 1440p, 165hz: "-USEALLAVAILABLECORES -DX12 -refresh 165"

Nice! I am using dx12 but not capping the frames which is probably whats helping you. Doesn't really make sense to cap the frames for this video when im testing the fps
