Dominic is useless because he lacks of experience and the second oldest member on Blue Team along with Petrozza, Jason is a sexist pig but he's useless, Craig has a small man syndrome and arrogant, Ben is a douchebag who acts know it all, and then there's Matt who is a literal man child and I still don't understand how in the world Matt got Black Jacket instead of Louross.

I absolutely disagree with Russel’s ranking (should be lower) but absolutely agree with T! She was basically one of my favorite chefs in hell’s kitchen of all time. She had personality and was hella talented in the kitchen as-well. Only hiccup about her was (and I agree with everyone else) in Rookies vs Veterans, where she basically fell out. However, season 14 had me hyped that she even made it this close to victory. Overall, this is a good video.

Even the top 4 (Kori, Mary Lou, Declan and Cody) are the strongest Top 4 that you've ever seen in Hell's Kitchen. Still, Nikki should've gotten Black Jacket over Amber the whiner. Nikki is improving every episodes even in episode one she had a meltdown, she come back getting stronger while Amber likes to whine, complain and even likes to second guessing herself. Even in Final Dinner service, she kept whining to Kori to not pick her on her team in finale until on D-Day. My God, what a Karen!

My rough ranking of the runner-ups: 1. T Gregoire (Again, while not so great in S18, she was a beast in S14 and on par with Meghan. Loved her badassery.) 2. Kevin Cottle (While not so great in S18, he was a force for be reckoned with, despite bad ankles. Plus, stood out more as a leader than most runner-ups.) 3. Paula DaSilva (Despite lack of truly standouts moments, she was arguably the most consistent runner-up ever next to Will as she just dominated S5 with Danny.) 4. Will Lustberg (Arguably the most consistent runner-up ever as he was hands down the best in S9, despite both a bad final service, and the rigging for Elise.) 5. Justin Antiorio (One of the best challenge performers to come through HK. I think had he been a better leader at the final service, he beats Christina in S10.) 6. Jason Zepaltas (A forgotten comeback story as he had to leave S9 due to dehydration and came back and nearly won S12. While Scott outshined him as a leader, Jason was more consistent in services. Plus, loveable goofball.) 7. Jay Santos (While he didn't have standout leadership moments, he was a consistent badass in services and challenges. Arguably should've beaten Holli, but it's close for me.) 8. Louis Petrozza (Despite possibly quitting, I can let it slide, because he was BY FAR the best in S4. Plus, arguably the most likeable chef in HK history.) 9. Mary Poehneit (Similar to Scott in S12, amazing comeback. Despite weak services, she came out all guns blazing in the middle to the end as she stood out more than Ja'Nel. Arguably should've won over Ja'Nel, but Jon would make a run for the money at Mary.) 10. Mary Lou Davis (Even though I still feel Declan should've been in the final two over her, Mary Lou was still awesome, but just didn't stand out as much as Declan, Kori, or Cody. Though, I love her sweetheart attitude.) 11. Mia Castro (While she was solid throughout, she didn't come across as a badass or as a leader. Had Motto not quit, he 100% goes against Ariel. I even thought Bret should've been in the final two over Mia, even though I think Ariel wins regardless.) 12. Benjamin Knack (Much cooler and not a douche this time around. While he should've beaten Michelle, should've lost to Nick. However, doesn't take away his consistency in All-Stars.) 13. Bryant Gallagher (S13 is pretty forgettable, but Bryant was an enigma. Random temper-flareups, then becomes calm out of nowhere. Solid chef, but a below average leader.) 14. Heather Williams (While much more consistent than some runner-ups, doesn't stand out much to me.) 15. Russell Kook (First off, hate him a lot. Second off, was the best chef in S8. Third off, if he has just calmed down at the finale, he beats Nona.) 16. Kristin Barone (I agree with you. She just skated by the competition as S15 was so unpredictable and inconsistent. Honestly, I would've rather seen Ashley or Jared win over Ariel or Kristin.) 17. Bonnie Muirhead (Started off sketchy, but came on strong at the end. Proved herself to be a force, despite a rough start. Plus, arguably the most beautiful and sweetest lady chef in HK period.) 18. Megan Gill (Like I said with Trenton, S20 I haven't seen much, so I can't judge too much.) 19. Ralph Pagano (Similar to Michael, too much of an advantage in S1, and got outshined.) 20. Virginia Dalbeck (While a strong leader and challenge performer, very bad service performer. While she was very kind, needed more line experience. I'd say if she came back, she'd do FAR better nowadays.)

Strongest Top 2 of Hell's Kitchen history: 1. Megan and T from Season 14 =Both are so good, I have no idea who's gonna win. Megan is just a prodigy in Season 14 and I feel like only T who's almost close to beat her. Feel bad for Michelle, Milly and Nick on that season. 2. Danny honestly is impressive to win at 23 years old and became an Executive Chef. Paula is also very consistent also she's cute and nice. Feel bad for them to have babysit Lacey in Red Team and Blue Team. 3. Dave and Kevin from Season 6 = Ironically, both of them got injured to the final at the same episode! I love ranking lists, so I'll do my personal list. I take a lot of the same points on your list, but I also look at the pacing of the season as a contributing factor. 20. Virginia - agree with most of the points on this list; one thing you forgot to mention, though, is that there were times where it felt like she didn't take the competition as seriously. 19. Bonnie - definitely got lucky over Brad in 3.07, and it was a lot easier season with only twelve chefs, compared to eighteen or twenty. 18. Kristin - I think you give her a little too much credit. I agree with you about Season 15 being incredibly inconsistent - I believe it's the only season where every chef was nominated at least once - but there was one mistake that I can't overlook that puts her this low - when she forgot the order early in the season - and I think it happened twice. It got so bad that sous chef Christina actually took out a marker and wrote the recipe on the back of her jacket. She had to have her team repeat it to her, and she still struggled with it afterward. She finally got it, but that one was big for me. 17. Mary - After a slow start, I can't find anything really terrible about *her* specifically, but Season 11 was such a slog, and it seemed like Ja'Nel was the preseason favorite anyway, that I kinda didn't care that much about the final service. 16. Justin - Almost stopped watching after Season 10, because of the constant cliffhangers, and the constant arguing on the red tram, which isn't his fault; but again, when the editing and formatting is what it is, you kinda lose track of who's still in it. That's also why I'm not convinced that Christina would have won on other season. 15. Megan - this is more unlucky timing than anything else. Season 20 is the most recent season, so the story is still being written. 14. Ralph - similar to Megan, but in the opposite direction. Who really remembers Season 1 anymore? I feel like Season 5 is when it really takes off and gets to be really great. 13. Benjamin - the all-star season concept was a little weird to me, which again, isn't on the contestant. Also, since Season 7 isn't that strong, nobody even remembered him during the introduction session. 12. Mary Lou - like Megan, not enough time has passed for us to make a call on her long term. I could have seen any of the final four winning that season, so that's why I place her higher. 11. Russell - agree with everything you said in the video; best chef in the kitchen by far, but it was the weakest season in my opinion, and his attitude of course was a major turn off. 10. Bryant - never stood out, had a little more of an arrogant streak than people give him credit for, and Season 13 was just okay. 9. Mia - One big caveat: this is the only season I didn't watch that closely, because I couldn't get into the "Rookies vs. Veterans" concept. And like Season 19 and 20, I still think a few more seasons need to happen before I can make a better call on her. 8. Petrozza - your part about wanting to quit is fair, but he got stronger as the season went on, and if age is the only thing that held him back from the title (I don't think it was the *only* thing, but was arguably the biggest thing), I can forgive him for that. 7. Jason - Like some of the viewers, I give a little more credit to the "comeback story." Keep in mind he didn't even make it to the first service in Season 9. In fact, I don't think he should even be on this list, because I think he should have won it. 6. Heather - easy to miss because of how lousy the blue team was; can't find anywhere else to put her. She places higher on my list than some due to her fifth place finish on Season 18. 5. T - the returning season of Season 18 saw her stumble and fall a little bit, which is a shame, and causes me to drop her. I always felt Season 14 was the strongest season, chef for chef, and I think Meghan was going to win no matter what, but T gave everything she had during her first run. 4. Jay - if he's strong enough to come back as a sous chef, then he has to be top four for me. I still think he should have won over Holli, and I think the only reason he didn't is because there were times where he seemed a little too nonchalant, especially late in the season. Other than that, I think he's the most underrated runner-up, because Season 7 had such a weak red team. 3. Kevin - I put him at #2 originally, but his returning performance on Season 18 was not strong. I also think he would have won Season 6 if he had kept it simple. Nevertheless, Season 6 was one of the strongest (or at least that's how I remembered it), and for both Kevin and Dave to make it to the final on injuries proves that resilience can still have its moments. 2. Will - except for the final service, he was dominant throughout Season 9. Not only that, but it was one of the most cohesive blue teams in the history of the show, especially later on in the season. Take out the final service and he wins the season going away. 1. Paula - while being forgotten throughout the early part of the season might sound problematic, it's probably more beneficial that way, because you haven't made too many mistakes in the early run. Between Paula and Danny, Season 5 was my one and only "flip a coin" season (so far) as a viewer.

I have to disagree with you about Petrozza. He deserved to be a bit higher on your list. Also, it was early in the series as well so you can’t really blame him for wanting to give up. But thanks to Bobby, he brushed himself off and fought back and deserved his Runner Up spot. I can also say Jason from Season 12 could be a bit higher too. Now Jason from Season 4, he gave up in front of Chef Ramsay for not knowing the menu and for being a dick that he was. Which got him eliminated on the same day.

I agree about Petrozza. It's not right to knock him for his humility, it's a trait that many of the idiots on HK could have benefited from. Agreed! Having recently rewatched S4, Petrozza was honestly a lot stronger than most people give him credit for- the only time he was nominated was when he put himself up, and that was because he didn't want to nominate anyone, not because he himself did poorly. His only issue was how sloppy he was, which came to bite him in the final, but besides that, he was a beast in the kitchen and rarely made mistakes. Bobby and Corey were also REALLY good- like, I could legitimately see Bobby making black jackets again if he were in S18 instead of Jen. Bobby only had 2 bad services, only one of those services involved him screwing up the food, and in that one service, he still managed to catch himself and finish off strong. And he was a fantastic leader on top of that. (How he left before Jen is a mystery.) I don't recall Corey being egregiously bad at anything besides her leadership either. Season 4 may not be a super strong cast, but the black jackets (except Matt and arguably Jen) were way stronger than they get credit for. Even Jen was pretty alright in S4, as much as I dislike her.

Mia is an odd one. Chris Motto might have been considered a rookie but he was close to Ariel in age and experience. While Ariel's position in the finale was locked and Bret was definitely out because he was too limited in scope and not mature enough, Mia and Motto were pretty neck and neck. Even if Mia had a better challenge performance she really was a rookie and struggled in the kitchen while Motto was consistently one of the best in the kitchen and he also had a lot of maturity which saved faltering services. Had he stayed the finale would have been very different because Ariel and Motto were a lot alike. Because he didn't the finale became slightly lopsided because we saw in season six and ten that consistency and experience beats flair. I think he had a serious chance of winning and then Ariel would have had a serious shot of being in the top five on this list.

You have to be a good cook and have the ability to gain respect from your kitchen staff.... Virginia grew a lot and had lots of potential. People didn't like her because she was super ditsy in the beginning of her season, and Sarah is a person who existed, so personality conflicts really shot her in the foot. Keith was a better cook for sure, but he was a douche to anyone who challenged him in any way. In the vacuum of HK, people are expected to be a but nasty and catty to get ahead, bit in the real world that attitude wouldn't fly far. He'd end up with a kitchen staff who would be toxic, and chase off a lot of talented people because he isn't respectful until you basically admit he's better than you. I also doubt Keith could learn much else after the show, and Virginia definitely did. Ramsey needed a head chef who could command respect, lead a kitchen, and keep up with trends. Keith was not the better choice for anything other than a cook.

I would love the next all-star season of hell's kitchen with all of them with the exception of petrozza due to his unfortunate passing 😔 the episode I would name it is "2nd place, 2nd chance". If this happens who do you think and who would you want to win?
@christopherbraswell1601
@christopherbraswell1601 Жыл бұрын
I’ve discussed that before and I think it’s a good idea, but do this. Take all those that were eliminated in the first round and put them in a season. Everyone always talks about how Hells Kitchen can develop a chef, that theory would absolutely prove it.

Russell got ranked waaay too high in my opinion. People forget how many blunders he had in dinner service in the second half of the game, and he couldn't lead for crap. Jillian was easily the most consistent chef in dinner service (and even then this is season 8 we're talking about, so that's not saying much), while Nona was the best leader. Even Trev's good moments were probably more impressive than Russel's. So I don't really see what makes Russell the best chef of the season?

Russell Kook in my opinion gets a little lower in my list because he was one of the biggest sore losers to be a runner up. After he had lost and Noah beat him out for the title, he wished for the worst of his team, (that he chose), and threatened to black list them. Yes, he had talent, but was a very sore loser.
