I think that they want people that don't know how to cook. When the casting call came to Austin, TX, I applied and was accepted. No Gordon, just producers. Asked to make 3 dishes..appetizer, Main course, and dessert. No problem. App was scallops, of course ..Main was a grilled Rib Eye cooked to mid rare, sides were grilled asparagus, mash taters with sour cream and chives, dessert was a palate cleansing raspberry sorbet with mint leaves. I was beat by a damn bowl of tossed salad, a bowl of chicken soup, and vanilla ice cream with strawberries. HMM,, It stung. After everything was over I asked where I placed and why I wasn't selected....Told..over qualified. Ahh..so be it.
