Nobody uses the relay included? the Hella horns require a bit more power, I am surprised you have not blown a fuse so far.

No problems across the multiple cars these have been installed on.

@@ColtonRichter So basically I can just splice the wires? I have a set of Hella Trumpet horns I want to install and I was looking for the relay harness. Guess I can just save the money! thanks!

@@tsunami770 LOL look at a comparison of the two methods. So much more power using the relay. This is a you-tube fool making videos the easy way. He said it himself. If you lay on the horn, the fuse blows with what he shows.

@@manitobaoutdoors7705 That was months ago. In my case, I opted for installing the relay as it should be.

@@manitobaoutdoors7705 The product information says that they are 66W, so we would need a 11A fuse. Normally cars have a 15A fuse installed for the horn circuit. If you have a fuse higher than 11 amps you will not have a problem. To know the intensity by the power and voltage you have to divide the power by the voltage. ((66Wx2)/12V)=11A

Wait, how did you split the power wire? It looks like you only attached one power wire to the first horn, then you have another power wire going to the second horn.

I think I used a vampire clip to tap into the horn power

Is there a positive or negative side on the back of the horn there is two numbers one say 21 and one say zero eight is there a positive or is there a negative
@miller12 жыл бұрын
You can choose either terminal for positive (power in) and then the other terminal will need to be negative (ground) by default.

Do i need to use the relay cus mine are not working i think is because not gettin so much power .
@ColtonRichter2 жыл бұрын
If they don't work, then you've most likely wired it wrong.
@thumper300zx2 жыл бұрын
The relay should be used to protect the existing horn circuit while also providing appropriate power for the horns.
