Hellcat or P365X Macro- Which do you think is the better EDC option

Two very popular pistols, both have a wide variety of models under the Springfield Armory Hellcat and the Sauer P365. Today we compare two of the newest "compensated" models. Does one perform better than the other?

I had the hellcat pro, and the 365 x macro axg. I now run the m&p carry comp and I love it. I may be honeymooned since its the "new hotness" but the trigger is very good and shoots great. It did have the slide lock issue but I fixed that and it runs amazing with the track record or the 2.0 platform. Good stuff guys.

Just curious, are you talking about the Shield plus CC or the Compact CC? i haven't heard about the SP CC having that issue yet so I'd be interested to hear (hoping to get one soon if no one finds serious issues with them.)

The metal framed 4.22" barrel. I haven't looked into the other models, so I don't know it the issue is prevalent in those ones.

I have 2 screws in my dominant arm elbow from a displacement fracture and have no issue running my standard hellcat pro without the comped slide. It’s not a full size 30oz gun. Being “snappy” is going to apply to any non full size EDC under 30oz bro. Not trying to shit on the kid but I think he’s trying to apply full size expectations to a compact platform

You can’t go wrong with the 365 platform. I’ve got Macro grip modules and XL as well. You can swap over in 46.8 seconds and have options. Short concealed option or bigger defensive options. One FCU gets you 2 options for the price of one. Honestly the best option is start with a $300 FCU and go from there. 😉

Went with the xmacro because just felt so much better in the hand. The hellcat felt like I was holding a 2x4

It would be interesting to add the S&W Shield Plus Carry Comp to this comparison. To me, the trigger on the Shield Plus is better than on the 365 or Hellcat.

Very happy with my Shield Carry Comp, especially after trying a G48 and 365 XMacro comp. I carry a std. compact pistol most of the time, but for when i need something more concealed and still very shootable the Shield is great. One key advantage for me is its ability to be carried in the short 10 round version. The other micro compacts with the full size grips is no good to me because I can conceal my standard compact guns just as well.

What happens is you wait to afford the sig and you need it in between that time you were saving for the expensive one.

There's one factor not covered, you can turn the macro into a hotrod with the icarus precision macro aluminum grip with gas pedals and thats relevant because any gun we use for edc is worth improving on and the sig is far and above more modular.

@@warrenjoseph2605 You're correct I've never shot an Icarus grip. I don't need a transformer with a sub par rusting finish that is overpriced. I'd rather spend it on ammo or a red dot. To each their own.

Have owned both.. the Hellcat Trigger is terrible. The Apex trigger makes it better but still bad. Sig P365 X Macro Comp by far. Softest shooting handgun I've soft, follow up shots are very accurate. Still own a Hellcat and it's become a paperweight.

@@rdrgear thanks for responding. Sft, sfx, sf, rival? If you don’t know no problem. I have a rival and mete sft. Both great. Put a Freedomsmith trigger shoe and Sprinco Competition Trigger Spring Kit and take the trigger from very good to damn near perfect. Keep up the good work! 👍🏻😀

Hey all. I’m new to guns and looking for my first all around gun. I’m looking at the p365xmacro or macro comp. Anyone know if the length in the sites due to the comped end takes away from the accuracy significantly? Not able to find a place to test either type.

The hellcats may work for some people, and more guns in the marketplace is a good thing, IMO. That said, I'm not an SA fan for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is their marketing and sketchy 2A history. The hellcat (isn't that a car?) is an imported Croation knock-off of a Sig. They copied Sig's magazine, the concept, and the gun with just enough difference to avoid losing lawsuits.

I got the pro but im taking the pro comp im good on a EXPANSION CHAMBER smh sig get away with to much bs gimmicks to b always charging the high...either they self shooting rusting or u losing a rear sight for no reason...glock fans i learnt to deal with them. They'll admit the short comings but sig consumers are delusional af

I have a x macro comp version and I love it. I absolutely hate the rusting issue on my controls but it’s a fairly easy fix although it shouldn’t be an issue to begin with. I also have a hellcat pro which was my first gun purchase and I love it as well. I got my macro for around the same price as my hellcat. I carry my macro wayyyy more though it just feels right.
