Awesome to see the Gas Monkey Garage Hellcat Dart again, it's been layin low for a while, since that episode / build off really. Didn't think i'd be seein it again anytime soon, refreshing to see it again though. Glad its in the hands of someone who will give it the recognition it deserves. Chris seems like a really down to earth car guy. Great episode.

Had a 67 Dart GT. Medium Copper Metallic, originally had a 273 4bbl, with a 904 Trans, I installed a 340, Stl Crank, 10.5-1, ported and polished heads, LD4B intake, Hooker Super Comp Headers, Holly 750 dbbl pumper. Mancini Racing Kevlar Clutch pack, Manual Valve Body 727 with a 3g Stall Converter. 3.91 posi 8.75 rear with a relocated Super Comp Leaf Springs via Mancini kit, and adjustable Pinion Snubber. Loved this GMG build, cool improvements to that. Love it!

Wow, your 273 sounds like it was awesome. My dad's 66 Coronet was born with a 273 and when I inherited it I rebuilt it but stock like it came from the factory. Still a 2bbl but with a mild Isky E-4 cam and stock compression. It's not fast but it's reliable. One day if I take it out again it will get high compression and a 4bbl.

Great Video> I ordered a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger with the 340 ( 2 dr hard top).I remember telling a guy who used to do some dray racing on an old ariport runway. I I was telling him that this thing really goes. He said, pop the hood, oh he says. you have the green motor. Usually they came with a red motor. He said the green motor is hotter than the red motor. I had just got married & started a family, so had to sell.. To this day i regreat selling it. I remember, i took it out one night & took to 115 miles per hour in 2nd gear. All i know is that thing was incredible fast.

Hey,, IF Chris Aston is impressed,, WHO could possibly be unimpressed with the job Gas Monkey did when they put together this little Dart. Personally I am a fan of the MoPar V8 Dart's. I bought a 1970 Dart Swinger off the showroom floor that year and loved it. Like a fool I traded it off in '73 for a Polara wagon to haul our 3 kids around but never forgot that little 340 single 4bbl, TorqueFlight beast and all the street races I won with it.

It’s so cool that they sell swap harnesses. All mfg should do this. It really just helps the brand. How many LS and Hell cats, viper 8.0 v10, 2JZ, RB26 swaps would there be if you could swap harness and computer and not need Motech stuff. Shade tree mechanics without shops could build sick cars. I’m stuck at 750 because I don’t have the money or knowledge to advance my build. I’m afraid to risk a swap because I simply don’t have the knowledge. I can track down parts and harnesses tho.
