I special ordered my 2022 Challenger Scat Pack widebody with a manual. I love driving it and have done some tasteful mods on it. I still get compliments on it every time I take it out. I hit 5k miles on it today, lol. I drive the crap out of it but I properly maintain it and use the top level fluids and parts. I've never done a launch or line locked or melted the rear tires. All 4 tires are still the factory tires.
@HamRadioLiveShowАй бұрын
You are 100% correct. The Challenger Hellcat is probably the best priced of all of them. I was blessed to buy a brand new 2016 Scat Pack that’s pretty rare in terms of its build. We have documentation from FCA that shows there were only three may just like it. But that day, I went there to get a Torred Challenger Hellcat. If it hadn’t been for the fact that we had custom ordered our Scat Pack, (that online information showed wasn’t there anymore at the dealership,) I would’ve spent the extra $22,000 to buy the Hellcat. With current prices, I can buy a same quality/mileage used Hellcat for about $15,000 more today. Since I drive less than 3000 miles a year, it’ll be a great investment and a whole lot of fun for me at least.

I wouldn’t say under 50k is cheap for a car pushing 10 years old. Essentially it has only lost 20k in that amount of time. Not complaining at all. I think these are future collectibles if they are cared for properly. That example has held up nicely. It’s definitely in better shape than the $26k example Hoovie just bought. Agree with your assessment, it sounds friggin awesome and it will put a Grin on your face!!! Ultimately, you are right though, for what you get, 50k is a bargain.

Truth of life rule #2 NEVER BUY A USED RACE CAR. Buying a used race car usually requires about the asking price in repairs that you never see. This car had the resonators deleted instead of a true car back replacements right off the start up the previous owner didn’t have the money to properly maintain it, along with your comment about the brakes is further proof. Also another tell tale sign is the brand of tires, a budget brand tires or Z rated tires is another sign of neglect, that car should have X rated tires solely on HP alone. I wouldn’t pay $20k for that car, I’ll wager a years pay that car was abused and neglected

As a 60 year old, I take issue with the “boomer” comment. When I left the dealership we timed the 60-130 time on the ride home. Furthermore when we cruise with the car clubs, ( mostly boomers) we have other members ride a mile ahead looking for law enforcement while we do our roll racing. As for the children who drive this car, if they want to abuse theirs the internet has plenty of those videos. Get it right sir!

You can clear the Top speed memory and start a new top speed. Cleared it on my 2015 Challenger SRT392 from the factory 120mph, the Hell kitty is no different. Once cleared it’ll stop and set at your next top speed. So this HC had been cleared and 90 was the next top speed. If you run it past 90 to let’s say 107! That will be the next top speed so on and so on till cleared off again.

As a life long dodge guy you are off a little in my opinion. Hellcat engine issues are a little to common. Oiling issues as well as cam issues are common. Supercharger bearings on the first few years were way more than average. That's 50 grand for 10 year old car. If your just looking for power with muscle... LFR has 810 hp mustangs for 49995 and that's a new car. I wish dodge could build something like that again.

I owned a LT4 CTS-V for a while and I got bored with it because it was too fast to be practical if that made sense. Major traction issues and once you hook, you are at go to jail speeds in a second or two of WOT. That was only 640hp so I'm sure this is way worse.
