Disco Garage is very obvious. Disco Garage Games is a games development studio located in Stockholm. Who have reportedly been contracted by Arrowhead to help in developing for Helldivers 2 because they alone are too small to manage Helldivers 2 as it has blown far past any expected success and player number. They supposedly did a good bit of development for the Illuminate release and are one of the reasons we got to see it so soon.

The Movie has to be animated. A live action movie has the high risk of giving Helldivers the Halo amazon tv show treatment with them constantly running around without a helmet and ruining the fantasy. - Stick to the satirical nature - make it goofy, violent and overly patriotic - Hire Henry Cavill as voice actor for Brasch and Keanu Reeves for a Helldiver named "John" - Avoid pandering to "modern audience" - Do not let Paul W. Sony Pictures and Capcom hired George Romero to direct and write the first Resident Evil film, but his script was rejected. Past Sony made better decisions than what they are making now! I have very little doubt that the first trailer for Helldivers will be similar to the Sonic trailer release fiasco 😂

For reference as far as the Harvesters, they are basically the equivalent of Hulks and Chargers found on difficulty 3 & up. They are nothing compared to Obilesks. Other units such as Overseerers are basically Devastator or Brood commander level, even voteless have 2 variations, and a possible 3rd 'ghoul' voteless unit.

The did the same thing with the film the Other Guys when Dwayne Johnson and Samuel Jackson jump to their death near the start of the film, I think having cameos with big A list actors have less than 5 minutes screen time just to get killed instantly would be so on point with the Helldivers IP That way you can have the “helmeted” Helldivers being the main characters

The movie needs to include a moment where the/a squad eliminates all the enemies around them that they can see and everything goes quiet. After a moment they quickly react to a sound right behind them to find one single enemy unit has snuck right up and called a Bug breach/Bot drop.

I think writing it will be really difficult. We as the players are fully... Mostly... Aware of the satirical nature and just how awful Super Earth is but the characters we play are 100% indoctrinated. You don't see any dissent in game from a named character. Just vague allusions in news updates.

Personally I think that the movie would work better as a series with each episode being missions on a specific planet or planets all in the pursuit of accomplishing a main objective which is all concluded with the season finale and then the next season would be each episode being a mission which would all be towards the new season's new main objective. Something like that tbh idk how that would work with a narrative but just that kind of feel. This was actually a tangent what I meant to say tho was about the movie. They should reach out to the community to submit written entries, screenshots, clips, etc of Helldivers 2 gameplay. Iconic moments like what you see in those compilation videos on yt specifically like those found in the videos 'When gamers turn into voice actors' that sort of thing. These submissions should feature heavily (within reason) in the movie in the background as well as main scenes however for the main scenes perhaps these should heavily inspire these scenes. I am sure someone out there can make sense of my rambling lol.

Think about it, the actors are squishing bugs to their hearts content with the light humor, then you get into the darker humor (similar to the love death and robots military humor when the soldier fought the mechanical bear [as a irl soldier i found it hilarious]) on the creek as they spill oil.

My biggest issue with the Illuminate remains how inconsistent damaging them is. At long range, bringing down a Harvester seems to take 2x - 3x as many shots as it should. Overseers are just all over the place; some die by looking at them, some take a couple clips of ammo, and some just don't die no matter what. An unshielded Overseer should not be able to shrug off a point blank shot from the Carl Gustav.

Illuminate armor negates all damage until the point it breaks, even if the damage exceeds the actual armor value. This effectively means that a shot could deal 10000 damage, but if it hits armor it will absorb all damage even if that same shot destroys it. Weapons with high rate of fire are your friend, fire also ignores the armor plates entirely. Harvesters weak spot is NOT the eye by the way, but the unarmored parts of their legs. Single rocket (even Commando) should kill them if their shield is not up.

I would like to see a real random helldiver feature. You pick random and every time you are reinforced it's a different helldiver with different gun loadouts, strategems, and armor load out that you own. Kinda like a shuffle feature lol

8:20 *spoiler warning for the movie The Hunt* I recommend watching it. its great, and has a funny theme of extremism in the movie, we go through a false main group and 3 "main characters" before the actual protagonist is revealed and followed through the movie about a third of the way in. if they were to capture those moments and do something like that, thatd be awesome.

I'd honestly prefer a Helldivers TV show. Kind of an anthology show following different groups within the Helldivers universe. An episode about Brasch an Episode about Eagle 1 and the support staff, an episode about life on Super Earth episodes about the various fronts bugs, bots and squids there you have about 6 episodes already. There's just too much universe to shove into a 2 hour movie
