EA executives need to get their heads out of their asses. Give a consumer a good product with fair monetization and they WILL spend money on it, especially given the Star Wars IP. We also know for a FACT that Disney is a nightmare to work with, because Capcom has said, they have to design the character and the moves, send it to Disney, wait for approval, make any changes they request, send it back, wait again, THEN they can add the character...That IF they want to do a balance patch DISNEY has to approve any changes made to Marvel characters And....People can STFU about F2P Marvel Rivals and its Chinese developer

All of these things need approval. There's no way Disney would approve a lot of what you're conceptualizing. With BF2 2017, they only wanted to focus on movie content with it because they didn't know if the shows would do well or not. With the zombies mode thing, the closest we got was Ewok Hunt in BF2.

Someone should start a petition or movement like the Lego Star Wars community’s 501st battle pack movement. This petition would be to get EA executives and investors to be convinced into thinking that a Battlefront III or s title of similar style would make as much if not more money as Rockstar’s GTA series, V’s drop broke the internet and so will VI. Star Wars has the same capabilities to do so and we need to convince the ones in charge of approvals to see it this way

Battlefield 2042 had a terrible release. Now since many updates and fixes the game has become great and fun. It seems to be common with dice, bad release, bad release, but good support and recovery. It still was never worth canceling battlefront 3, it could have been one of if not my favorite action game in general. We were robbed and this time, there was no recovery

It was a tonedeaf decision from higher up to cancel plans for BF III just out of monetary concerns. BF II was going strong and was at the apex of its redemption arc. Interest in a sequel was at an all time high and a disastrous launch was going to be easily avoided. People were and still are ready to pay for some exotic skins or remodels of weapons, so an aftersale market is very viable. They just threw the melon on the ground right before the finish line. An absolute shame....

It's just that everytime EA/DICE had an opportunity to make a banger game, they've just shot themselves in the foot every time. They never learn, it's just crazy. Battlefront 1 was missing tons of content. Only 3-4 maps to play the bigger game mode on. No Single player. Now they fixed that with battlefront 2, however like you said, the loot boxes made it loose attraction. Then they made Battlefield 5 which was missing the aura that Battlefield 1 had, and EA/DICE leads that did bad decisions on that game as well. Then they made Battlefield 2042 which lacked so much quality and features that the previous games had. Like mantling. The game design had strayed further away from what a battlefield game with the introduction of operators/heroes. The guns look and feel much worse to use, nowhere near the same animation quality, the guns don't feel like they have any weight anymore. The sound design is just not great. Decisions like 120+ players was a bad decision. The maps were not good. Nothing about the game is memorable. The best we saw from DICE was Battlefield 1, and that was truly a game they wanted to make, which seems like they were allowed to do whatever they wanted with it. We are just in a new era of gaming where the quality and atmosphere for a game doesn't matter because as long as people keep buying the microtransactions, why would they try make a good game that could be memorable for years to come? Look at Call of duty ever since Modern warfare 2019 and onwards. I believe if we do get the game we want, it's going to look like something we've seen new DICE devs make, like 2042. Dice is just not the dice we know as anymore. And that's because of a failure in management where they have not been able to keep enough experienced devs to be able to teach new devs to make the same quality they used to make. It's just so many things that have collapsed and they've had to force new devs to learn by themselves. That's why I don't think we won't see something similar to Battlefield 1 or Battlefront to again. But maybe they can redeem themselves with whatever comes next.

Frontwire Studios was developing a Star Wars Battlefront using the scrapped Battlefront 3 game engine. They had characters, ships, heroes. Developing during Battlefront 2015 after many of fans were disappointed with EA’s version. Then, Disney stepped in and issued a cease and desist. Frontwire continued making a space battle game, just not Star Wars. Game called “Galaxy in Turmoil.” Disney/ Lucasfilm couldn’t handle an independent company being more popular than their unfinished game.

No chance it’ll be revived. Pretty sure the developers at DICE who made it are no longer there. The scrapped content is probably lost and unless they can find a way to make a shit load of money from micro transactions, they’d probably not profit off any new updates at least for a long time. It would be more beneficial for them to just make a BF3 from scratch. Or at the very least do a soft reboot of BF2 under the name Battlefront 3 (like Overwatch / Overwatch 2)
