So, the neat thing about the mission timer, is that you don't lose the mission when it runs out, the main ship just leaves orbit so you can't call down strategems or reinforcements. You can still run around, and you can still extract, it's just a much harder rush.

We figured that out one mission later but during this one we were IN IT. Made it way more intense and we laugh about it now haha

Yeah, first game is very different in terms of gameplay (top down twin stick shooter) and had a few things that I really hope come to HD2. Namely local coop and vehicles.

Just a warning; that lightning gun is a friendly fire MAGNET. It arcs to friends about way too fucking far away from the initially hit target, like it is intentionally designed to cause as much friendly fire. I don't recommend taking it if you don't want to friendly fire your friends. If you do want to, take as many as possible, the thing is way too good at it. More effective at hitting teammates than an orbital strike strategem on a 100% range modifier (as in better than 100% chance)

First one is such a banger as well. Im glad at least with second part they finally get recognition it deserves. I highly recommend still first part. Its basically the same game with much more content (as of now) and just different view. Still many people play it, its super easy to get full lobby during a match

It's like if you mashed Destiny graphics into Starship Troopers like missions on an EDF platform. You can never successfully "one up" anyone because there's always something bigger and more ridiculously over powered out there. You're there to blast bugs.
