It will more than likely not have its own supply and take the stims you have on your person. Besides why would you want to stun yourself with the pistol when you already have stims on your person. Even more reason why they’ll just make it use your personal pool of stims.

It looks like the backpack for the drone has a green capacity meter on the side of the tanks. It likely does have to land and refuel occasionally. Especially since they mentioned "fixing" the fact that the laser one never stops shooting.

The rover has a yellow capacity meter on the backpack but it has infinite ammo. I dont think the gas one will/should have infinite ammo im just saying that isnt necessarily proof Also they need to buff the other 2 drones to be as good as the "glitched" rover

It has infinite ammo because it has really good heat management due to it being ai controlled, I think it's fine.

Basically nobody uses the pistols offensively because of how little damage and ammo they have. This is why the grenade pistol is so popular, its a tool not a weapon. Theres also no way to heal chip damage without using an entire stim and very little ways to support so replacing the least useful slot with more health and team support is a great idea

As far as the Gas Resistance armor perk goes, I hope it's higher than 75%, unlike fire status which you can just dive out of the AoE to stop the burning and then heal, gas still ticks away your health even if you dive out of the gas cloud, in fact with gas it's better to immediately stim and then run out of the cloud

I think they should make it so when divers are in gas there is a 1 second period where they make a MMMGH choking sound like they're holding their breath before they start taking damage that way you can get a warning to get out before you start taking DOT that you cant just dive to remove. "But the gas is corrosive you cant just hold your breath" yeah but you're wearing armor with a helmet that can block out acid rain so debatably you shouldnt take any damage

@@MSusername69 How exactly would the armor melt? You cant have it start to fall off and if you just have it drip or droop it would be super hard to see. Also it wouldn't fit with the lore and its unrealistic. A sound cue is very effective and is already the case for fire and gas the problem is those only play when its too late

@@bingbong8464 I am aware my point was that the armor is at least somewhat resistant to corrosion so it wouldn't be that much of a stretch lore wise to implement such a feature Also we dont know just how harmful the acid rain is. If it can weaken even a hulk or bile titan's armor than the helldivers must have pretty good armor for it to not be destroyed and completely stop the diver inside from being hurt

Gas Grenade will be lethal when paired with the Flamethrower. Stack two DoTs on Chargers/Impalers/etc, add EMS Orbital for more effect.

Considering that I have used orbital gas strikes in nearly every mission since February, I am VERY pleased to see a gas themed war bond. Also, while I doubt the healing pistol will see much randoms use, I do think organized groups could make heavy use of it. It leaves you less reliant on resupplies and random stim packs for health. Thus providing better longevity when on the move.

The Stim pistol adds to a gameplay style that is encouraged slightly with the Medic passive, although most people use the perk selfishly. I hope that with the addition of the Stim pistol, they eventually release a Stim guard dog and/or even a crossbow variate that shoots full stims (they said the stim pistol fires a minor health so my guess is that it only heals 25% or 50% health with each shot).

If the stim pistol is anything like the grenade pistol then it should be worth it since you would be getting free stims from ammo boxes (similarly to how you'd get grenades for the grenade pistol from ammo boxes) plus I love being a medic in hd2 (from time to time I go to teammates and stim them whenever I feel like it)

Will the guard dog use dog breath cannisters from it's backpack? And are they refillable? Gas grenades are a nice AoE alternative to the incineary grenade but they lack the explosive power. They look like they'll be good for holding down a corridor without having to think about it, but we'll see how they handle heavier bugs. I hope they drop a bot-focused warbond since this is a terminid-focused warbond

Corrosive damage affects bots just as much as bugs. I always take an orbital gas strikes with me on missions as a direct hit with it will destroy fabricators and gas out the nearby bots, wiping a large area. It also has a really low cool down so I can use it to lock down corridors or attack so that I can focus elsewhere for a bit.

I've heard rumors that Gas is affected by wind. I have no idea if this is people coping with Gas visual issues or if there's real merit to this, but we know Arrowhead enjoys making realism a part of the gameplay experience. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if this was another of their hidden features.

I wonder what the advantage of the gas gun is? Wasn't the chem-thrower from HD1 supposed to primarily deal damage to armor? Perhaps that's why they nerfed the flamethrower's anti-armor abilities during EoF. I would really like to see something that very quickly strips off leg armor of chargers (but doesn't kill them), setting up your other teammates to quickly take them out. Would add a teamwork element to fighting charger spam

In HD1 there was a poison spray just like Sterilizer, dealing damage over time and inflicting a slowing debuff on enemies. I doubt it'll be comparable to the Flamethrower in killing chargers quickly, so curious if it'll retain the slow effect. Bugs have pretty much the same slowing effect they had in 1 on some attacks

Stim pistol is gonna be extremely useful. My playstyle is usually the support style, like giving everyone ammo with the ammo backpack etc. Just making sure everyone is safe and secured. Stim pistol will greatly enhance that play style.

Stim pistol seems like a pretty cool idea tomorrow. Their description of it and the clip of it in the trailer has me skeptical. I think having a way stim your teammate for a distance sounds really good, but that’s if it’s pretty easy to aim with, and if it was shooting a full stim. Based off their description I don’t think it is a full stim. Even if it was full stim and really easy to use, I think people would use it but it would probably not be “meta.” The way they described it, I think it’ll be niche at best.

The toxin gun and helldivers 1 was a personal favorite for dealing with terminids. If it's anything like the 1st game. When spraying an enemy not only does it do damage, but it slows them down as well. I've been waiting since day one for this gun. Finally it's here. P.S. bring back the Trident primary.

The way I see it with the new patch, Primaries are gonna be in such a state that your secondary matters a lot less, and now utility is more important than just having another gun in your back pocket. This means Grenade Pistol will be EVEN stronger, but it'll also be less punishing now so guns like the Stim Pistol can now be considered without worrying that you're gonna be gimping your Helldiver. Hopefully this idea of "Utility Sidearms" is expanded, as I would love to see a Silenced Pistol option for TRUE stealth kills (Would love it if the Peacemaker got this, but I'm down for another gun to be silenced).

The Stim pistol is going to be a killer against bots i reckon. When cover-to-cover is threatend by a tank and a cannon turret, being able to assist a stimless teammate while running AMR feels like a lifesaver. literally! I've noticed that i pull out my pistol maybe three times on a bot mission.

The Stim pistol seems pretty cool and I'd love to use it, but the grenade pistol is just so valuable and helpful for clearing out bug nests and factories. even with the engineer armor you only get 6 grenades. if they gave us more options for destroying those I'd definitely use the stem pistol. I already plan on doing a full gas build with the orbital gas strike, gas grenades, gas drone, gas armor, and gas flamethrower(?)

Dude… the eruptor for factories OR the crossbow for that and nests. You can also run and gun one handed with crossbow and it’s faster than reloading grenade pistol + more rounds. & that’s if you’re not already covered by stratagems for those. And if you absolutely need a support primary, there’s always the HMG

I really hope they drop new strategems with new warbonds going forward. I'm also excited to see some more voices to unlock soon, they could totally get Casper Van Dien (the actor of Rico in Starship Troopers) to record a voice pack or something. By the way I do recognize the gas grenade from the engineering bay, it sits behind the lady and has been there since launch, but we never actually knew what grenade it was until now.

Is the gas flammable? Elemental damage is being entirely overlooked. Fire & gas for bugs, arc and plasma for bots. Also incorporate the elements to interact and do extra damage. For example shooting a gas cloud with any incendiary would ignite it and have a heavier damage modifier for fire damage. Say you throw a stun grenade on robots and your buddy shoots them with a plasma weapon...everyone who was stunned takes extra damage from the plasma because their circuits were stunned and could not initiate defense measures

As a veteran helldiver, I’ve spent countless hours on this game and consider it on my Mount Rushmore of favorite games all time. I don’t want to poo poo the changes they’re making. It’s been long overdue and I’m VERY excited at the prospect. HOWEVER, Once everything is unlocked, there is almost nothing else to do. Don’t get me wrong I still play this game regularly, But all my resources are maxed. What is there to do? Wait for an instant unlock for a new stratagem? The unlock and progression is fine to a point, until you have it all. Then what? I’m not asking for COD. But a “prestige” system? Grindable skins or armors? 10000 kills with eagle airstrike = more damage, or less cooldown, larger explosion radius. Restart from lvl 1 gets you a certain helmet, cape, or armor. (Spitballing) I’m not saying any of those suggestions are necessary (or good). But at least it would somewhat refill my sense of purpose. Give me a reason to play other than just helping out the community. I love the community. But spending a week helping everyone complete a major order to get no medals bc I’m maxed out is starting to get a little stale. I’m not done with this game. However my friends are, and buffs won’t bring them back, A sense of Purpose will.

really wish the new armor would protect against the acid chip damage that comes from bile spewers and those mini green spewers, it wouldnt save you from getting killed if you get hit by a full blast but help keep your health near 100%

IF the Stim Pistol makes use of the Stimulants booster then itd be interesting lol Could extend the stamina of the guy carrying samples.

I'm really interested in the potential of the stim pistol, though currently it looks like it's going to be underwhelming as a pick unless you really are hardcore about supporting your team. But hey! It'll be in the game so they'll find a balance. The game could use some more teamwork/coordination picks for people to call in, though I know that's a hard sell for most players who don't coordinate with randoms, much less their on headset friends.

The lack of primary weapons is very nice to me as I only use primaries like secondaries: as emergency backups for when my autocannon or recoilless riffle runs out of ammo or I risk killing myself. I use stratagems so much more than my primary.

I hardly ever use my pistol and I’ve had the issue of teammates not waiting for me to stim them. The stim gun will be very helpful for me.

I'm loving the revert buff talk, but I want to know what they're going to do with lesser used weaponry. Are they going to buff, say, the Lib Pen to make it good and a viable choice?

Think the stim pistol will be used by those who want to feel like a support person more than a run and gun but I wonder if the ammo will be your stim packs or if you will get a case of them if someone gonna play medic with this pistol and it uses such resource I think the best combo with it will be the supply backpack to give that true medic feel not sure how many people gonna be running that at all like you said but it does give a player the option to play as a support Helldiver if they wanted to do that

So essentially after this patch its gonna be less us trying to catch up to the enemy in power but more the bugs and bots catching up to us in power

Been wanting to use gas weapons for a while and actually kind make a build besides flame damage. The guard dog was a good idea and pretty cool

If they keep buffing I might come back to this game. I left a few weeks after launch because I could not make any significant progress playing once or twice a week. I left for games that did not require insane grinding to make any progress. But, if they keep buffing weapons, I might be able to play and enjoy it.

I don't see anything that suggests the Strategems are IN the Warbond. I see a new pistol, a new grenade, and a new primary...and then two additional strategems, the Dog Breath and the Gas Sprayer support.

Honestly? I already had a riot control gimick loadout, and this will fill it more into the role. Spray and pray, flamethrower (or arc thrower), ballistic shield (as a riot shield), gas, smoke, and ems strikes, stun grenades, dagger… now swap the back weapons for it, get the gas related armor, and that stim pistol for minor support, that’d be pretty good at riot control as long as the gas damage is set up right.

Thanks for your opinion and the updates. Looks interesting. Especially the stim gun. Could be useful if you have one player in your squad acting in more of a support role. Also, it helps that your teammate can get you from a distance, instead of trying to hand you a stim up close. This is probably their solution to pre nerfing. I am also very weary of anything that automatically disputes a corrosive or flammable substance that sticks to the floor everywhere next to me.

Laser dog doesn't in fact recharge. Never understood how people miss it going into your backpack for a few seconds

As far as the healing pistol, it would be uses by the people who really enjoy being the healer, I would use it if I'm in the mood to do so.

I need a save feature for different loadouts. I like to switch it up depending on missions, planets and bugs vs bots. I might need a loadout depending on if my teammates are gassy.

The only real buff that I want is for the Eruptor to have it's shrapnel again. The new buffs are nice, but I have no problem playing with the weapons in the state they are currently. But that Eruptor nerf hit hard when that one came down. It's basically a Warhammer 40k bolt rifle, but it doesn't feel like one any more.

I will say in the clip of the stim pistol it doesn't track, in my opinion i feel like it having either aim assist or a homing shot would be great so you can actually quickly heal people. Manual aiming seems a bit cumbersome in the heat of battle and will make it very hard to save people.
