One of the biggest tips I would give is: disengage from fights that last more than 2-3 minutes. There is no need to stay and fight unless you are doing a mission like raise the flag or defend the missile silo. You can leave a hot area, do some other objectives, and come back later.

As a lvl 150, i have one unconventional tip: ditch your teammates and solo side objectives. It might seem counter intuitive but this actually helps the game a lot - as the enemy focuses your squad with reinforcements and allat, you can slip away and blow up bases, reducing the total amount of spawns, stalkers and patrols or even get SAM sites running. Sides, it also gets things done quickly. Division of labour my friends.

100% agree, im a newish player and I learnt that pretty quickly so now my loadouts are all about speed/support, I let all you high levels call in the damage while I run around collecting samples and destroying nests etc, while being low level my toolkit for defence isn't that great so it was much easier for me to play aggressively and push the map.

My biggest tip for Super Helldive is just knowing when to pick your battles. If you're getting way too many reinforcements on your location and you're at a side objective, it's best to retreat and come back later if you have the time. On bots, I find that one of the most time-effective strategies is having at least one person using the recon armors, and smoke grenades/smoke eagles going around doing side objectives and sniping bot bases with a Spear or Autocannon while the other three gear up for full-on firefights and handle heavier objectives. When the stealth person gets a bot drop called on them, they gtfo of where they are and the strike team can go ham on their own objective, and vice versa (though the strike team might prefer to just fight off the bot drop). It works best with coordination obviously, but if I'm hosting a match and tell the randoms to roll with each other while I handle side objectives we get done in under 20 minutes very consistently.

Hey bro I just want to say these tips are fantastic. As a day one player here are my tips that have really helped me. Recognize the true power of the Supply Pack! For the Illuminate currently and the Terminids I recommend brining a Supply Pack almost every time. Having a shit ton of supplies on you against these guys is super helpful because you can deal with hordes well and even the craziest situations feel less crazy being well stocked on supplies. Plus if you’re a team player hooking up your teammates with supplies is a great way to make friends. Learn about the armor passives. Every armor passive in this game has its uses and can sometimes make or break a loadout. Furthermore, some armor passives are good against certain factions and mid in others so it’s beneficial for you to learn about them and learn when it’s best to use them or which loadouts to bring them with. Final tip try everything! Test every stratagem and weapon in the game if you can. Find out what you like and or master the harder to used weaponry. This is easily my favorite tip because it allows you to find out about synergies you didn’t even know existed and it makes the game less stale going to each mission with a different loadout. Also, there are some weapons in the game that actually take time to master. Weapons and stratagems like the Slugger, Airburst Launcher, and more. Again bro great video and I just subscribed keep up the good work trooper and see you on the frontlines 🫡
@BThreeGamingАй бұрын
Thank you! Agreed on the supply pack - it can build so much team chemistry when you resupply your teammates throughout a mission. And I’m definitely guilty of running the same setup / stratagem over and over because it’s just “what works”. I’ve been getting a lot of recs on stratagems I’ve rarely used so it’ll be cool to test everything out. Thanks again and I’ll see you out there 🫡

Great tips got some of my own as an experienced player myself. Pre Stim: Great way to mitigate dying when anticipating taking lots of damage. Especially pairs well with experimental infusion with the speed and damage resistance when taking stims. Example of using pre stims is when diving into a bug nest to close the last bug holes with surviving guards. Or closing the distance or moving out of cover on the bot front with heavy devastators. Know your enemy: Target the most dangerous enemy you see in an engagement. For Bugs Stalkers, Alpha Commanders Bile Titans. For Bots Factory Striders, Barrager and Shredder Tanks, Heavy Devastators, Rocket Striders. Illuminate, work in progress it's likely Arrowhead has some surprises. Jetpack Overseers, and Tripods so far.

106 here, not sure I agree with the 'aggressive backpack' suggestion. I'd recommend picking a backpack slot to support at least one of the other teammates. If everyone is bringing guard dogs, that means nobody has recoilless which is probably bad. If everybody is bringing recoilless, nobody has the ammo backpack. I'd also recommend learning to use turret stratagems as distractions to break contact- throw it down and then run past it and around some cover so the enemies are focused on it instead of you. That's one of the reasons I consider the MG turret superior to the Gatling turret... the other being that it teamkills a great deal less.

Great tips. Im currently 103 level, so I made o lot mistakes, and only way to stay sharp in this game is to always check for better option, thats why this game hooks you for so long. From my experience, I would advocate for shield generatir against bugs, if u combine it with arc blitzer, u almost feel untouchable. I recently fell in love with commando stratagem as my support weapon, it works well with bugs and also illuminates. For bots, recoiless rifle is the undisputed king.

Another tip. Use the sentries against squids and bugs. Situation to hot, pop a sentry and run. Spawning pop a sentry. Calling in objective pop a sentry, evac, pop a sentry. Another great easy to use weapon that I think get's overlooked is the Heavy Machine Gun. Most of the time you want it on the lowest firerate as anything else is overkill [press R to open the weapon's selector screen], it does good damage and on bug missions will penetrate everything you come across having Heavy penetration while also being incredibly useful against the more intemediate enemies you face, unlike the Recoiless Rifle which will kill basically everything you need killing but only if there's one at a time. It also doesn't need a backpack slot for it's ammo, so you could potentially use a shield generator or jetpack [for bots/bugs respectivly], personally I only do this when I have a coordinated four man and there's somebody else who I can drop a utility backpack for later after the first cooldown, I really feel the missing ordinanace when I have two stratagems on support. [Edit: Another potential team comp for this is two Heavy Machine Guns and Two guys using E-AT's, E-AT's arn't as good as Recoiless Rifles anymore but it functions and you can get the most use out of the guy bringing the Utility pack as you'll all have a backslot free]. Alternatively, you know, just bring a guard-dog. One the benefits of the Autocannon not mentioned in this vid is the fact that it's you know, an auto CANNON, dealing explosive damage that can shut nests and bot factories [with good aim]. I'd say a good team comp probably brings one of each.
@mouseii88Ай бұрын
Well, the single advice I would give is always try to stick with your team. Chase by bugs? Run to your teammate so at least they can shoot for you. Too many heavies? 2 AT is always better than 1 AT. This is one reason people find pre-60 days buff patch "too hard", while a team just sticking together breeze through Super Helldive. Many defensive stratagem are designed to work optimally with at least 2 players, such as Tesla tower behind a major breach will kill and direct chargers to opposite direction so your team has less charges and butt to shot, mines will help prevent constant reinforcement, even smoke on breach will prevent being swarm by disorienting enemy. They aren't tangible but a lot of players who can't get out of messy swarming have to do with misplaced stratagems and no such defensive support to ease the enemy rush.

It's interesting that you didn't mention the quazar cannon. It's as effective as the recoilless rifle, and it doesn't require ammunition, and it has a longer range. The trade-off is the 15-second cool down between shots (closer to 10 seconds on ice maps) and the time it takes to charge each shot before firing.

2 additional tips : - Try to prevent enemy renforcements from spawning at all costs. These are the most useless yet time + ressource consuming engagements you can have during a mission. - If you fail and one spawns, immediatly throw a 380 or napalm barrage on top of it to deal with 75% of it with ease. In general, don't be afraid to use barrages on large groups of ennemies to give you some breathing space. That's what they're best used for, aside from clearing enemy outposts almost entirely by themselves.
@waywardmindАй бұрын
The Scorcher is all I ever drop with for bots, honestly, although I agree the JAR-5 Dominator is also solid. For squids, I fully agree with the Sickle. For bugs, I vary it; it depends entirely upon my teammates' loadouts and what my support weapon is going to be.
@agedcaskofcrits11 күн бұрын
Don’t be afraid to melee when fighting on the roach front. Any melee hit will briefly stun and knock back smaller bugs, up to Commanders. Warriors/Commanders will charge at an accelerated pace when decapitated, but a melee hit or two can provide enough control to let the bleedout finish them off.

One booster you forgot to mention is Motivational Shocks specifically on Terminids. With half of the attack slowing you down, having Motivational Shocks won't only save your team from a Hunter-Spitter combo, It'll also save your sanity as you can actually outrun attacks. Another tip is to consider call-in time when selecting stratagems. I found that shorter call-in times work well against Terminids, with Illuminates not suffering as much from having strategems on cool-down due to your support weapon doing the heavy lifting. With Bots it can go either way honestly, depending on your build. And lastly, having a mid or high armour pen secondary allows you to bring a light armour primary against Terminids specifically. I like using the Senator so I can kill Hive Guards with two shots to the face. It'll take about a second for them to bleed out so don't get hit :3

on boosters. in the beginning hellpod space optimization is great but as you progress and your skill level gets higher it should be prioritized less over boosters like experimental infusion essentially all it saves is a resupply after you spawn in so if you don't die a bunch you might as well not take a booster at all. The best boosters are ones that greatly influence how you play the game throughout the whole mission. the less you die the less effective hellpod space optimization is, simply because you wont see the effect. This is especially true for illuminate missions, because of how many supplies are placed around the city maps you may not even need to resupply most of the time; so having full supplies on re-spawn isn't super helpful compared to having other boosters.
@BThreeGaming17 күн бұрын
For sure. I feel like space optimization is no longer a requirement if everyone on your team is in sync. But when queuing with people you’ve never played with and for more difficult missions, it’s very nice to have. But, illuminates maps are definitely an exception because there are so many ammo + stim boxes.

Immediately call in stratagems such as supplies, MG/AT emplacements, and support weapons to be readily available upon returning after the main objective is complete. -Work through the map in a manner that does not require backtracking. (Lining up objectives in a circle, beginning and ending at extraction is optimal.) -Collecting resources can wait. Prioritize the objectives. -Disengage from unnecessary fights, keep a low profile, and always keep an escape route in mind. -Communicate effectively by marking objectives, supplies, patrols, and large enemy units. - Try to call in reinforcements at a relevant location to where they died, OR at a safe zone away from combat.

5:38 you get hit less because you're presenting a smaller target, not because you're moving faster (you were actually moving slower overall compared to sprinting in a lot of these clips). alternating between standing/crouched and prone will also make a lot of the incoming shots to be aimed high, missing you while diving or prone. the sudden burst of speed that diving gives, not the overall speed, will also make projectiles with travel time miss more often either due to you quickly moving away from where you were which causes to shots to land short, or shots that were fired mid dive will have been aimed with the assumption you would still be moving that velocity when the projectile reached you which causes it to overshoot you. also, diving gives you more instantaneous distance than sprinting over a short distance, and if you're playing right you should usually be a dive's distance away from some sort of cover between you and the enemy, which adds to the feeling that you're getting hit less. basically, you're juking the shots more than you are getting away from the enemy faster with spamming dive.

A lot of random high level play I've been in do not rely on the use hellpod optimization and vitality boosters much. With weapon viability, you're right to adjust on factions but your recommendations are lacking. Cover your bases. Like, If you're using a sickle against terminids, that's fine. You can complement your loadout with say, an AC or GR for mids, and get anti heavy strategems like RCS, eagles, (AT) turrets, or specialized grenades, fill in the gaps that your team lacks, etc. Again, mix it up. There is really no talk of team play here and it's mostly what you need in 10 which is very important, sadly.

Why use orbitals to clear large bug outpost when you have autocannon, run around the outside of the outpost and close bug holes with cannon.
@BThreeGaming16 күн бұрын
Agreed - guard dog is definitely the backpack slot to take, especially against squids because of how easily it headshots. I think using orbitals to clear nests + outposts is faster and conserves more ammo and stims since the barrages do the work for you. If I call down a sentry on the outside and throw a barrage into the nest, by the time I run around, I only need to close a couple more bug holes. Plus, orbitals prevent the bugs inside the nest from coming and trying to swarm the team. Orbitals even better on bot outposts because they can take out detector towers in one hit so I don't have to call down a hellbomb and arm it and then run away. Using autocannon works great too, and orbitals definitely have the chance of team killing more. Overall, I think that a well placed and well timed orbital can do the job a bit faster, but it can definitely be a hard ask especially if you're playing with randoms.

Here my tip! - just don‘t die 💡
@leeham6230Ай бұрын
Disengaging is the best tactic against bots, and works good against bugs too. With bots, they are too slow to counter a fighting retreat. Shoot the ones that can chase you as you retreat, and jjat get away from the bot drop.
@ThePlazmapowerАй бұрын
The entrenched loadout for bots (shield relay, mg sentry and rocket/AC sentry) as well as a support weapon that can rapidly take down dropships (such as the RR) can make you a one man army (if they're all off cooldown) on bot drops on diff 10. Which allows the bot reinforcements to be shut down
@ralphmalph5191Ай бұрын
#1. Play your skill level. Devs need to allow mission leaders to set min experience level for other HD to join their lobbies. Wayyyy too many inexperienced players joining diff 7 and above. Earn your levels the right way, not being a liability to the rest of the team. Your mom may make your older brother drag you along, but not us.

@Slozerosh When you see a squad of 3 players all less than level 20 on a Helldive or Super Helldive mission with a SOS beacon going off, you don't join either - because it's a waste of time. It's also insulting to beg to be carried, especially when there's plenty of teams at lower levels.

I easily do Helldive and Super Helldive with my squad (wife and friends) and I don't agree with you on many levels. In example only two mandatory boosters are hellpod optimization and experimental infusion (for shoo) but rest depends on planet and mission type for example diviong on planets with sand/snow storms without muscle enhancement can cost you so much valauble time that it's often impossible to finish all side objectives. Shield might be obligatory if you run high maneover crowd control (like sprayer or flamer with light armor). Sicle works great on about anything if you know how to aim. I prefer adjucator and dilligence CS on bots, and Reprimand on bugs but that's my playstyle and synergy with other weapon systems. On Illuminate I prefer Liberator Penetrator to Sicle as it deals direct damage to Overseer and Voteless die from one shot to head anyway. Pistol flamer (my wife idea) works miricles on Illuminate and is even better on them than bugs. Thus said - It's very good, as meta is so fluid and depends on skill, tactics and preferences that there is no single obviously best take.

Barrages are overused in group play (fine if u r solo), in my experience they just team kill OR even worse they cause bug / bot drops because you can’t easily target the bug / bots that will call for help, even in ur clip u barely got any bug holes. Napalm barrage is brilliant on bug breaches if used well but on whole barrages are for people who are afraid to kill the enemy themselves. My 2 cents (lvl 150 700+ hrs)
@viniribrАй бұрын
It's a cool video but I thought it would cover more about game mechanics and decision making. These tips feel more like "use offensive meta builds". Which is fine but if they can only play like this, the game will lose it's fun too fast and they will get frustrated when trying a new loadout
@owengordon17526 күн бұрын
I just gotta say Hellpod optimazation used to be my favorite. The 1st boost I earned that made me feel like I'd made it. Now I no longer feel like it is the greatest. Not saying that I hate it but when people use it on missions thats low rated i ask whats the point if you are rarely ever belated.
@BThreeGaming17 күн бұрын
Agreed. I think starting out, hellpod optimization is a “need to take” because it’s nice to start with more ammo and stims than you need. But as you get more familiar with the game and are more confident, other boosters could be way more useful.
@onthespiral4054Ай бұрын
Would you EVER start a coop game on the highest difficulty, without any upgrades nor the experience, and eat up team resources and expect to be a popular person or not draw hostility for any other game? Why do level 20s and 30s try to do this on SHD? Gear yourself up and get experienced at lower difficulties.
@garlandtx1023 күн бұрын
I disagree with the last point of #3; "always deal damage instead of running away from it." Too many new players have this mindset that they are going to fight the enemy until they quit, pc's don't get tired. Most missions, again most are a commando objective focus, break in mess up their stuff or activate and asset and get out. Breaking contact or engagement with an enemy force is by far the most efficient way to get this done. And all you need is a well placed turret to give them the slip.
@BThreeGaming17 күн бұрын
I get it - disengaging when it’s time is definitely the way to go. I think this tip is valuable on higher difficulties because a lot of the helldive+ missions I’ve been on have fallen apart when the team got swarmed too early, too quickly. Dealing damage to clear out some hordes to make a getaway path is the move, but there is definitely a case to be made for needlessly aggro-ing and overstaying.
@garlandtx1017 күн бұрын
@BThreeGaming agreed the tactic I find most useful for this and should be included in your list is always bring one sentry. More if you like but the idea is to bring an automated sentry that you can throw down to start peeling the enemies off you as you get away. All of my load outs have one sentry for this purpose if not as an opener when starting to raid a position.

Hey - not too personal at all! This video was edited entirely in Davinci Resolve. I watched a ton of official tutorials on the Davinci website and then looked on KZbin for anything else I wanted to put in my video (text animations / cuts / fades). Casey Faris is a great starting point if you want to work in Davinci. Personally, I think buying editing courses for hundreds of dollars is kind of ridiculous. Davinci is a free software, and there are a lot of great creators like MotionEpicFx and YiaHong who post Davinci KZbin tutorials for free.

800+ hrs here, 150k bot kills. if you’re facing bots at higher level, use fortified armors. 10 is pure rocket spam. use whatever armor type you feel comfortable with, i use light-to-medium. i end up being the lowest squad member with deaths that are average 0-1 maybe 2 if i make a dumb decision. scout armors are useful if you know what you’re doing, but most players using it get bodied; then rage quit for making a dumb decision. most of your deaths can be avoidable, just don’t make a bad decision, like running in the open or continue a fight that you don’t need to. guns, use whatever you feel good with, meta is cringe since there’s objectively only three guns that are great against bots, the rest are viable. thermites or stuns, sometime gas are great choices. senator or grenade pistol is also great choices. always have an anti-tank grenade or stratagem in your loadout, since you will be facing hulks and factory striders more often than not. recoiless rifle is the king of bots, same for the quasar canon and commando. spear can do well, but you better be prepared to run out of ammo quickly. EAT is goated since it has low cooldown and can be slapped in, if you don’t know what you should bring. sentries will be your best friend. bring rocket sentry or auto canon sentry. if you’re running railgun or amr, make sure you have thermites or stuns, can shoot hulks in the face easier. utilize cover, try not to be in the open for too long, you will get punished. don’t engage a patrol that will waste your time and if you do, prioritize the small bots first, they will call dropships and you will now waste resources fighting an army. orbital walking barrage is the best out of the three barrages, can clear out fortresses and basses with ease. use it. eagle strafe, eagle air strike or 500kg should be your choices. orbital Gatling and orbital precision strike are also solid choices aswell for low cooldown time and flexibility. at the end of the day. use what you think is fun and viable against the faction you’re playing. the best meta, is the fun meta :D

@SeaSpartan118Ай бұрын
A 750+h tip I have is to bring the stim pistol from the gas warbond. Not only will you be able to heal your teammates, saving them stims to use in actual life or death scenarios. But its stims also trigger the experimental infusion effect; boosting their speed and reducing incoming damage. But the best of all: you'll drown out bug screeches/laser fire/voteless grunts with endless 'affirmative' and 'thank you's. The only downside is that you have to bring some other kind of demolition weapon for the spawners. This is however a blessing and a curse because you will be sticking to your teammates who can blow up spawners, furthering the feeling of being an actual team instead of 4 random soldiers

Share Backpacks & Support Weapons. You’ll free up stratagems. Ie: • MG + Guard Dog • Recoilless Rifle 3 stratagems equips the team for anything, with 13 stratagems left over. Teammates bringing their own support+backpack leaves the team with 8 stratagems between them. The additional 5 stratagems provides a lot of versatility.

Bruh Im gonna say it. If you need tips for doing super helldive, you shouldnt be in super helldive. The game isnt much different from just regular helldive and to be honest even half the super helldives are hardcore snooze fest. I really wish AH would let us modify our difficulty so I dont have to ,,raise a flag" on the hardest difficulty the game has to offer and not be required looking at the screen. All that being said. Its a nice vid. I like ,,helping people to get better" perspective but no amount of tips can can beat pure practice and experience. You will fail and thats OK but lowering the difficulty to suit you better is ALSO OK and it doesnt make you worse than anyone else.

I'd say another tip is to not worry too much about being kicked sometimes. I just got kicked from a lobby, post-mission, luckily, after I carried. It was a super helldive. I died *once,* extracted 45 samples(of which only 13 I picked off a dead body) I had almost 300 kills, and was helping with the primary mission more than anyone else. This was against the Illuminate as well. No idea why I got kicked. Maybe because I prioritized the main mission while they took 10 minutes to do one side mission? But like...Sorry for being smart enough to know when to disengage from a fight. There's a reason you all died 9 times lol. But oh well. Their loss.
