Can you grow a hellebore in a pot for the rest of its life? if so, how big should the pot be?

I can't see why not...Obviously the bigger the pot the better and overwinter on the ground as opposed to on a table so it won't freeze solid...although when helleborus are blooming they can freeze solid and when the temps rise they seem to pop right up...they are some of the most resilient plants I've seen...where do you live...

Until Helleborus were named the Perennial Plant Association's Plant of the Year in 2005 they were pretty much unknown and inexpensive...now that is just the opposite. They are the first perennial to start the garden season so maybe that is why they have become popular. He is a website that has a lot of named varieties. www.plantdelights.com/collections/helleborus-lenten-rose-christmas-rose I think this may be only a wholesale company but here are some fascinating and weird strains... sunfarm.com/plantlist/hellebores_main.phtml Here are more www.bluestoneperennials.com/genus/helleborus?gclid=Cj0KCQjw4vKpBhCZARIsAOKHoWTEffuAR93JrEj6wfEAN3tG-zxhphM3YavUivQQV81PRp9Dim-STzoaAro2EALw_wcB I have a lot of baby seedlings but they are open pollinated just like in the video...
