Your Wipeout videos are very well made and informative! Also love your commentator voice. I just came across your channel and while I'm usually a fighting game fan, it reminded me of the times I used to play futuristic racing games back during the PS2/Gamecube era. I used to own games like Wipeout Fusion and Pure, as well as similar racers like Extreme G 3, XGRA and F-Zero GX and while they all were difficult (I'm really average in racing games) I just loved the futuristic atmosphere and crazy sense of speed they had. Thanks to you, I went and purchased Wipeout HD Fury just yesterday and have been having fun trying to get back into the series. Thanks so much for the entertaining content (subscribed as well).

Shoutouts to TVTropers That One Level: A nice cross-section of some vicious tracks from the series inception through to HD Fury can be seen [in this video]. Highlights include: -From the very first game, Silverstream. A tight, very technical track with alternates routes at two points where choosing the wrong path meant you were effectively out of the running. So notorious, it's still considered one of the (if not THE) hardest courses in the series. -Temtesh Bay Course 2, from Fusion. A veritable checklist of horrible track design decisions. It was so bad that it became part of a major in-universe race disaster when the backstory to Pure was released. According to the [Hellfire]'s video "Wipeout - Circuits from Hell ", the Medium Course is a travesty of a circuit filled with tricky corners, rock pillars and those fuckin' annoying bulkheads which will NOT OPEN until you are VIRTUALLY ON TOP OF IT!! Also, it's even worse when played in reverse, making Temtesh Bay Coure 2 itself the worst course in the entire series, putting Silverstream from the original game to shame.

I've played a fair bit of WipEout Fusion and I'd actually contend that Vohl Square 1 is the hardest of the Vohl Square courses. It's just an onslaught of sharp corners, much more so than Vohl Square 3, and the exceptionally narrow track through most of it doesn't help either. I also find Temtesh Bay 3 harder than Temtesh Bay 2. The jumps are just the wrong inclination to throw you off the track, and in the Forward variant, the open secion throws you into an even more random assortment of rocks with the sun directly in your eyes, blinding you completely to any hope of routing the track safely.

There's always PPSSPP. Pure and Pulse end up even better when you play them with Xbox controllers or whatever instead of the horrible control layout of the PSP and that hopeless analogue nub. Quite seriously, I have far more fun in Pure on PC than PSP, Pulse doubly so. It's just so good when you start using proper controllers in place of the PSP's ridiculous analogue nub and no L2 R2. Just emulate it!

Little addendum on Platinum Rush. The waved, narrowed section just before the end of the track is quite literally a ship-killer. If you come in at a bad angle and get caught by any of the bumps, your craft will be kicked out of its lane and usually right into a bump on the opposite side. If you have particularly bad luck, you might suffer a full stop or bounce 3 to 4 times before regaining control of your ship. Not to mention that on the black version it comes out of a blind corner.

Just to add to Alca Vexus C3 Forwards, there's a hidden shortcut in the waterfall to the left at around 13:51. Hitting that will skip the entire uphill process and go directly to the section after the large jump. Much like the "Turbo Jump" part of the track, which - like the name of it suggests - requires a turbo on slower speeds to jump over, that shortcut is every rubberband enthusiast's nightmare. It's just way too overpowered.
@gbalao8885 Жыл бұрын

Temtesh Bay was destroyed in 2164, all because of F.E.I.S.A.R.’s “super missiles” which caused huge explosions that rocked the entire mining area, burying everyone and the fact that some racers died there too (approximately six of them), with either from the explosions or that they weren’t rescued in time. So that's basically to add insult to injury for being an extremely difficult and hated track.

It is a rocket, it is not antigravity, it’s like a drone ( see the intro of WipeOut 3). The model is the ships from starwars, the opppposite is FZERO wichs really anti gravity.

WipEout Fusion had such a nice sound track. I'm going to have nightmares tonight about Silverstream.

Yeah, I struggled at Silverstream too. But at least when I took your advice for the track, (Going left being benefical than going right.) therefore it isn't as bad. But it's still evil. At least you have my respect sir. One question, what's wrong with Temtesh Bay, especially Course 2? I had (almost) no trouble racing there. you can ask me how and why. My favorite course is Katamoda 12, especially course 2 and 3.

Yeah, although it IS still pretty narrow. Sol's a different challenge entirely and one I find really fun-if INCREDIBLY unforgiving. To go fast you need to take all of it flat-out, with no guardrails, and hope that landing the first Skillcut doesn't just catapult you back into the air. Compared to all the other courses that rely on you timing sharp turns and hard braking, you need to be extremely precise. At least, that's my knowledge of it: there are no slight wall tags. You're on or off.

I should point out something about Citta Nuova: If you're thinking about using an Autopilot through the undulating chicane series, DON'T DO IT. It's almost inevitable that the Autopilot could be more harm than good. Worse case scenario: The Autopilot could flip your ship upside-down very easily. And the game will not instantly respawn you in the event of a rollover compared to flying off the track. Source: My own experience.

Also,I guarantee to recommend using Feisar/AG System because they're helping with outstanding handling

In one occasion I made the terrible mistake of using Autopilot on Citta Nuova... the AI accelerated the craft so fast that when attempting to turn the ship flew outside the track...

@@Mx64MaxyImpress I can get around that part just fine with either Qirex or Assegai

Best to use the autopilot after you perform a barrel roll towards the final corner though.

Wipeout is so awesome! On of few games with a certain difficulty and a perfect learning curve. My favorite tracks recently are Downtown and Sol from 2048.

That's a pretty impressive claim to fame! Nice work.
