He needs to do a full play through of DMDS. The Grieghallen main room i think was a bit too open and the cymbals got washed here and there, but it gave the toms a totally bizarre resonance. Some parts I cannot for the life of me figure out.

I wish Mayhem would post recent live performances of the entire band, not just Hellhammer...the sound seems good to make a pro-shot experience that we have not had since...forever. The De Mysteriis thing was too much of nostalgia for me, many people like me think the last three/four albums are very much worth the attention to say the least, I wish mayhem would focus more on the present and document it more
@lukaszp82464 жыл бұрын
"I wish Mayhem would..." - yeah, part of me wishes that too, however we should remember, that this is not another pop / rock band (or is it?), which is nowadays everywhere in media. This is black metal act, and at least they deserve some of their mystery, whatever is left of it. Regarding De Mysteriis live - I was actually surprised, how good it sounds, especially drums - maybe they're not very organic, but at least they're less plastic than Hellhammer got us used to in this century.

He changes a bit from tour to tour, usually (and from what I remember, also on this tour) it's a 13x4 wood snare, can't remember the brand right now. On some of the Mysteriis shows he used a Pearl 14x8 steel (same model as on DMDS) and on some others a 14x5 brass. But on this I'm almost certain it was the 13x4
