I feel like it’s been forever since I preordered this. So looking forward to having the entire run in one collection. It makes sense they included the X of Swords in there since their story was not directly connected to the rest of the crossover the way the other titles were.

Hellions, X-men, and Wolverine were the books I bought during this era. Hellions in particular was really good. The Arcade arc was down right frightening. Sucks this ended at #18.

@@mylesdiaz7912 most of the other runs were only good in a few issues here and there, mainly focusing on Nimrod up to and including Inferno. The other events and runs have been mediocre to below average at best unfortunately.

Hellions is a title I’ve seen people from all taste seem to enjoy. It is kinda a parody of superhero stories but very fun.

I wish Marvel would put more recap pages in these books honestly, especially omnibuses where the contents jumps around a bit. The only one I know of that actually does is the Squadron Supreme Classic Omnibus.

I honestly wish these books were printed in Canada. Most big hardcovers from there are tremendously well built. China's printers are better than Turkey's however. A whole bunch better.

I dont know what to do about the Hickman era.. I mean most OHCs are missing X of swords issues but then some like these have them included. Plus Hickman had a different reading order at the end of each comic..which order is followed in the TPBs (Dawn of x) Might as well wait for Dawn ot X, Reign of X omnis i guess..

I've heard this comic is really good. Wes from Thinking Critical praised this comic a lot(and he's been a pretty big critic at Marvel over current X-men) so I may need to check this out.

I actually talked to him about this. And hope to interview him. He walked because he wanted to, he didn’t want to write A monthly Marvel series. He wants to write big events. From his mouth to my ears.

@@terskatti4994 Hickman did sign the Substack deal like so many other creators. He didn’t even tell Gerry Duggan who was writing X-Men he was leaving and Duggan found out on Twitter. Tynion left DC because of the Substack deal. I know Hickman said that Marvel wanted to stay in one phase, but it was even reported when he left X-Men that he would be returning later to Marvel for something else. No one would have blamed DC editorial with Tynion leaving and blaming Marvel editorial is weird to say the least even without Omar’s response. Substack pays significantly better honestly.

The art on this book kinda bugs me. It's not "bad", but it's all just characters posing, or close-ups of just one or two at a time. No establishing shots, no sense of location or backgrounds. It's like anti-George Perez art.
