Kalkan is the general name of all shields in Turkish. We call the shield in the video "tombak kalkan". It is especially a favorite of the Turkish light cavalry. You designed it very well.

I was initially worried about the addition of Ducats, but they sound like they're in modes that make sense. They sound like a good way to encourage players to play with survival in mind instead of getting reckless, which is a good change. Looking forward to the adventure mode! Take all the time you need!

Instead of simply a randomized amount of ducats per fight, there could be some form of "style points" that give you more ducats for some actions, like not being hit, landing combos, taking limbs or winning the fight with a single strike. Or maybe being able to bet ducats on yourself like in Mount & Blade tornaments

Smart changes. Well done! Core mechanics are really good but we needed something to make us play the game, make this a game. Ducats is a good step towards that goal.

Your love of sword play is obvious through your continuing work on this game, I'm glad you're just as invested in it as you'd like your players to be. These little tweaks and adjustments shows just how much you want the game to resemble real fighting as much as is possible. I don't get to game that often, but when I want to play a fighting game, this is always my first choice.

I have been watching your videos since at least months or a year before you launched and it has been incredibly inspiring to see it go from a project to a full fledge game. I remember when you had almost no characters. I am happy for you and glad that it has become more than just an alpha, I remember thinking it was never going to get far and it wasn’t until the long sword character launched that it looked like you might really go somewhere. Now I am really glad this game exists as it is such a unique experience. I can hear in your voice you sound much happier and less stressed out. Suggestion about the ducats, can it be an option to put the money on the line? At times I'd want to do the survival mode without it costing me anything if I do badly. I am the kind of player that likes to put myself through a challenge also when playing casually, because I don't mind losing. The ducats mechanic would make me unable to do that and have to worry about losing.

Witam, piszę jako nowy właściciel kopii (oryginalnej) gry - bardzo się cieszę, że będą tarcze, bardzo to rozbudowuje arsenał sprzętu i możliwości. Mam taką propozycję, którą podpatrzyłem na filmach z okresu...często widziałem walkę szpadą (a może rapierem) oraz w słabszej ręce rodzaj sztyletu z szeroką głownią i prostym, długim jelcem. Ten lewak służył jako pomoc do blokowania ataków przeciwnika tak jak główna broń, ale także do pomocniczych ataków w zwarciu. Czy planujecie dodanie takiego czegoś w przyszłości?

I like the idea of ducats and earning more my taking less damage. I'm not a fan of losing ducats for losing since it wastes time and punishes newer players who are still learning. It's better to have positive reinforcement than negative.
