I bought the same one. Plays like a dream. I bought it because it was on sale vs buying something with a pretty finish but I have to say, Ive fallen in love with its finish. I dont have to be ocd about prints and smudges, I just play it and its great🤘

Happy New Year Jimmy, I say the same thing on every relic video, (which is exactly what you just said)… I’ve always hated relic guitars. I wanted my new guitars to be shiny-new. But then I played a relic and felt how comfortable they are. Now my FF relic Strat is my #1. It’s just so comfy and carefree. I don’t have to worry about knocking it around. The relic job that FF does certainly won’t fool anyone, but it does feel good to play. Good to see you Jimmy, hope 2025 rocks for ya 🤘🏻

You know, Jimmy, I'm one of the folks who don't get relic-ing at all, but I like THIS guitar -- because the finish just looks like a finish to me, rather than a relic job. The hardware all looks new and blingy, and I like that look with the distressing. Lots of contrast!

Hey! Happy New Year young man. Great to see you!!!! 2025 here we come!! The guitar: Nice looking except, the binding says Brand New Shiny Guitar doesn't flow from the relic. The sound is very nice though, the pups seem very nice.. I have Firefly's strat rellic( looks like Rorey G's) and relic was very nice was also set up very good. But no way near the 50 dollar Tease set up I had. Had to sand the back of the neck to make it smooth. Now I just got a Fesley LP 900 with a belly cut and neck joint cut which I really like the bellycut and beck joint. Thanks for adding a little sweet jam at the end. Oden seems like a great cat, enjoyed seeing him, reminds me of a cat I had growing up. Makes my day when you post a NGD video. God bless, and stay warm.

Hey Jimmy....Good tidings to you and yours in 2025. This new Firefly, the specs are terrific. For me, I don't like gold hardware and forget relic guitars, not for me. Otherwise as long as the build quality is there, that's an amazing price, look out Gibson. For Christmas this year my Mrs. gave me a new amp! Finally got a Monoprice Stage Right 15 Watt Tube job to fool around with. First time I've had an amp with an effects loop. Cool! Excellent Review. Hope to see some lighter instruments this year. There was a couple times that Firefly put some LP’S and other models on Amazon Canada but that was awhile ago. You can keep your fingers crossed 🤞

They did a while back not sure what happened,, but firebird music who is owner f firefly the shop is in California corona if I remember correctly but don’t quote me, that’s closer to Canada than us East coasters that live in Myrtle Beach South Carolina, you would think if nothing us they could get it to the U.S. Canadian border

Hi Chuck…it’s really nothing to do with “distance” of shipping, but with Firefly’s warehousing contract in the US, having to deal with import taxes and fees in Canada, differences in currency, etc….etc….I think they have found costs just to prohibiting at this point.

As a relic myself, I like for my guitars to get there the hard way, however, definitely a Firefly in the cards for '25. I was looking at a heavy relic strat and wondering if it would be feasible to just sand it out, but I suspect whatever finish they use will make that difficult -- just have to wait for a propitious alignment of availability and $s ...

Odin seemed very happy with his “obligatory contractual appearance!” 😂 When does his contract expire? I bet some other studios would be very interested in him! 😁 I see that they have more rosewood composite Teles AND Strats now… They may be heavy, but they sure do look good! We’ll see how long they last… This FFLPS looks almost like it has a fire painted on it-it actually doesn’t look bad! The wood underneath looks like it might be a mahogany veneer-that’s my guess, anyway, since it seems unlikely that it would be a genuine 1-piece body at this price…

nice one brother! i still like the "greeny-moore" -ish IYV model tho.....something about the IYV one really resonates with me...esp after i "modded" mine a bit for the peter green vibe.... relics are sweet as long as they dont cost thousands of dollars hahaha!!!

@@JimmyStewart1 nice! still thinkin bout doing the "peter green" mod? only cost ya 2 sets of import knobs(amber 50s and silver top gold 60s)and a bit of time flipping the neck pup around plus swapping the wires.... and dont forget to sink the bass side and raise the treble side like peter did....

The trouble with the import relics is they have a poly finish that shouldn't wear, and the body is heavily reliced but no wear on the fretboard and binding or the tuners and the tailpiece and bridge and pickups are also brand new. I too have come around to the relic guitar and like them when they look somewhat authentic but this one just doesn't look right IMO. It sounds quite nice though, I like the neck pickup as it is not muddy like so many import models, I think this guitar resembles the LTD Eclipse more than a Les Paul though.

I used to be an anti relic guy but I got bit by the bug pretty bad. It starts with not caring then admiring other people’s relic and before you know it your drooling over a Murphy lab for 10k someone paid to whip with a chain. 🎸🤤

Oh wow!! Nice! Congrats and enjoy! You got the “non relic” version basically, except without the matte black finish. Usually the Elite vs Classic is based on double binding and 1st fret marking, but yours has that as well. So basically it is an Elite with the Classic badging. Once again congrats! 🎸👍

Hey Chief, hope all is well with you. Haven't seen you in a minute, and it looks like you have lost some weight/body mass. Not to scare you, but I watched my mom waste away in front of me because she had a terrible doctor. Everyone could see she was sick with something. I'm hoping it's just been a minute and my mind is playing tricks on me. Can we get a weight on the relic LP? I had one of their "Sparkle Black" LP style that I thought matched the gorgeous MGB that I have, and I found it to be very heavy. It didn't match the MGB finish so I sent it back. So a weight on this would be great.

Hey Snark! Thanks so much for stopping in my friend….as far as the guitar weight…right around the 20:30 mark I go over the weight and post the pic. This guitar came in at right around 8 lbs…so very comfortable, especially for a LP style guitar. As far as my weight, well you are not incorrect as I have been dealing with some health issues this past summer/fall and trying to get that sorted out. Appreciate the concern, and hopefully current treatments will have the Chief back to normal…much thanks for stopping in!! 🎸👍

All his gear is at my place anyway so I went ahead, and sold them to him, and now they sit in a guitar stand in my guitar room that also houses the Marshall Origin 20 amp, and angled Crate 4x12 cab that I sold him.
