First, this painting is darling! I love it! And yeah, I hear ya on the instagram/tiktok frustrations. And if it makes you feel any better, I'm a 46 yr old Gen Xer, and feel like I'm so tired of trying to keep up with each trend. I won't make content unless I'm enjoy doing. Because otherwise it'll feel like I'm wasting my time. Just know that there is zero consistency with these algorithms. Almost everyday, I post the same short video to TikTok, YT shorts and Insta. While it may get thousands of views on one platform, it'll get less than 30 on another. It's not you, you're not "irrelevant". It's just how the social media cookie crumbles :(

I agree, it does feel like there’s no inconsistency. I think for sure it’s more important to just make art for the love of it rather than for likes - it’s hard not to look at the numbers though! 💕💕

No advice, but good luck on balancing effort vs reward on social media. I see the push towards these video formats, and it is a lot of work on TOP of creating the damn thing! Your art is lovely, and I hope you'll find the kind of success you're looking for.

Keep showing up! 💚 Have you listened to Andy J Pizza's Creative Pep Talk podcast? I find the way he looks at social media for creative folk really helpful.

Hi 👋, I am also having the same thing happen to me on Instagram on my new art channel. Don’t get discouraged. It’s the algorithm… 😒 it’s quite annoying really. On a different note, beautiful work! I also watched “Dune” and OMG! I loved it too.

Wow your art is so pretty I’m actually shocked you don’t have more of an audience :O but I bet it has something to do with the algorithm - don’t give up and keep pushing forward something big will happen and all of a sudden your social media will take off like wild fire I know it ❤️ also just a tip check out some other artist youtube channels and see what kinds of challenges you can apply to your channel to push you closer to the audience ❤️ keep going! I’m excited to keep watching

Your art is super cool even if you don't feel like you are. Just keep creating, I want to make a KZbin channel too and I'm 50!!!!!!!!! My instagram page only has a tiny following, I end up deleting everything and starting again every year or two because of that sane frustration! Maybe the algorithms check the year you're born and throws you out unless you're a celebrity??? I think a lot of artists feel the same. Oh well! Love your work! Keep going!
