If you want to enter the main show, you'll have to do this steps first : - Get to the secondary show and ask the clown if the one-eye guy ever blinks. He will go take care of it and then you can examine more carefully the eggs. - Get to the hot dog stands to find what the kid lost - Once you gave him back his bottle cap, talk to him again to give him a balloon. After that you should be able to enter in the main show with the boss. (If it doesn't work, you should talk to the balloon clown again to say that you know he is the same at both side since you examined the eggs) Like so Mark can see please!

Mark, the circus main event isn't actually "later" you just need to do a few more things at the circus before you're allowed in. (Such as the little boy you talked to. And there's something off about those clown eggs, but the clown in the freak tent won't let you get a closer look at them as long as he's watching you.) Just giving you some hints because I completed the whole game without going in the main stage because I thought I had to come back "later".

RECK 317 are pickaxes a one-time use item, like the needles? I thought it was like the shovel, where he could use it ad infinitum as long as he had gotten one already but he *has* been getting a lot of pickaxes if that were the case...

It depends. There are several free tools you can pick up, like shovels or pickaxes, and usually they'll last you most of the game. The items are not breakable in the sense that every time you use it an invisible meter counts down to it breaking(ex: you can only use a shovel 20 times before it breaks), but that certain SPECIFIC things you can use it on will break it. For instance, in a graveyard area Mark hasn't gotten to yet, there is a place where you can visit up to 999 plots(although just in text form, as you have to manually type in the one you want) Some of them have a skeleton to fight, but there are ones where you just loot it, and a few have very rocky ground, which will eventually ruin your shovel. It's the same with the pickax. Just mining meat veins won't destroy it. And if nothing else, having extra tools just gives you more stuff to sell

I laughed pretty hard at the 'Manifest Destiny Railroad Company' and I don't know if you know this, but Manifest Destiny is when the Americans thought it was their God given right to claim ALL of North America: This included Canada, and Mexico. Mark. With the Nex Mex it is a one way road that will make you powerful but also curse you at the same time, its not like hardmode but you will get some debuffs, these curses last for the rest of the game you have been warned. With great power comes great sacrifice

The first one is free, though. And the next two are just -3 to moxie then muscles. After that it gets really bad, with a -10 health, then a -25 to melee then -25 to ranged attacks. The last one isn't so bad, depending on where you're at item-wise, as it cuts your meat finding and item finding gains in half.
