It's not about affording it, it is about the asinine way they went about allowing people to order it. Two limited runs announced out of the blue to trick people in to subscribing to there twitter accounts. 90% of all the freebooting happening could have been avoided if they made a simple 2 weeks prepaid ordering option without limitations and then order the Vinyls based on that. They are asking to be freebooted with such stupid selling tactics.

I looked up the vinyl because I didn't know they did this when it came out. I was only able to find one copy being sold and it was for $500. Sorry guys but I'm freebooting the shit out of this.

I'm here because I fully support pirating when it comes to stupid limitations. I would have bought that vinyl in a heartbeat, but I just barely know of this existence and it is already sold out. Plus I'm a huge supporter of archiving, and physical media is not the best way to archive due to the physical limitations you put on people who may want to experience said media. Imagine if pictures/recreations of the Mona Lisa were outlawed and the only way you could go see it was in The Louvre, that'd be bullshit and it put huge limitation son those who cannot afford to travel to Paris. So archive away ye collectors of limited run items.

I actually don't think it's even piracy. You have to take some sort of action like a download to be pirating. It's youtube's responsibility to police the "free-booting" ... like correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think someone who listens or watches a ton of freeboots on youtube or the news is doing anything legally wrong.

This shouldn’t work as well as it does. The whole premise of a physical - supposedly scarce 😉 - copy of a podcast makes so little sense. But what a fun thing that exists, the artwork is fun and the choice of conversation is perfect for a “bottle episode” like this that stands on its own. And cheers to a fellow Tim for sharing it. In a perfect world I would have dropped the $40, but at this point this is as good as possible.
