Great video! Do you mind sharing the process of buying tickets for the hello kitty Shinkansen as a foreigner? Did you book them online in advance or buy in person at the ticket office the day of? If you have any links I would greatly appreciate it :)

You can book up to 30 days in advance. It's a Kodama train, so if you have a JR pass, you can ride for free. There are a few unreserved cars available. However, since the Kodama is a slower train, I wouldn't recommend taking it all the way to Fukuoka again. It's better to use it for a few stops, then switch to a faster Nozomi train. If you're just heading to Hiroshima, though, it's fine to take it directly there. Bookings can be made at a JR ticket office or via the SmartEX smartphone app. When we booked, the website incorrectly listed it as Kodama 847 (Shin-Osaka to Hakata). Unable to find this train number in the app, we visited the station, showed them a picture of the train and our desired travel date, and they took care of everything. It's quite straightforward if you're near the JR office at Osaka Station, though there was a 30-minute wait. Wow, I'm jealous. Hello Kitty Shinkansen 🚄 is not only machine wash, but also JR staff wash cars carefully by hand washing.
