I have an issue with "what's the name of the giant with one eye in Greek mithology". THE name of THE giant points to Polyphemus. Cyclops is the race of the giant (and by the way, Cyclops is singular. Cyclopes is plural). If the question was formulated as "how are the giantS with one aye in Greek mithology called", then there's no doubt that they want Cyclops as an answer. Formulated as it was, it points you towards the actual personal name of the most famous one.

KZbin legends? Oh there already are many of them. They have left an imprint on an entire generation. Maybe more than one generation! There are several educational video-making legends: -Hank Green freaking founded VidCon and Subbable (now Patreon) and he's been the star of several channels. His brother John Green is also close. -Vsauce (Michael Stevens); nobody can argue against his legendary status. -CGPGrey, a slightly more mysterious but similarly indisputable legend. -Brady has been closely involved in a lot of educational channels. He's the cool uncle of educational youtube space. I can think of other legends like JonTron (and Game Grumps in general), Pewdiepie, and uhh... several oldschool youtubers that I didn't watch personally and don't knows the names of, but are definitely legends. Of course depending on your tastes and experiences people will disagree on which people can be considered a legend.

@fingerboxes5 жыл бұрын
My immediate answer to "what metal is liquid at room temperature" was gallium. I didn't even realize mercury is a metal. After hearing that answer I guess it makes sense but like, I don't even think of mercury as a metal, just a biohazard, which puts it in like the same class of elements as uranium or plutonium. In my head, metals are the elements that are really useful or at least really shiny. Mercury feels like a technicality to me. I realize that classifying elements based on their effects on humans instead of on their objective properties independent of human involvement is a stupid way of classifying elements, but in my defense I was never allowed to go to school or get scientifically accurate textbooks so I am almost entirely self-taught when it comes to science. Science is the part of human knowledge where we're most dependent on getting experience and instruction from others because it doesn't come naturally to us as a species, it's usually counter-intuitive, so forcing a kid to figure it all out for themselves is a pretty good way to guarantee failure. So I blame my parents for me not thinking mercury is a metal.

But some of them, I only got right because of the hints you gave (e.g. Hancock), and some of them I was unsure of (e.g. Himalayas). And I probably would have gotten more of them wrong when I was a college student. For instance, back then I didn't know of "John Hancock" as a word for a signature; and while I was dimly aware of Betsy Ross, I only know her name because of listening to Hello Internet, so I would've missed that one as a college student too.
