Ahh!! My boyfriend and I have been roasting chickpeas recently in the oven(400 for like 20-25 minish) with cumin, smoked paprika, garlic, salt and pepper and then we have them in pita wraps with tomato, cucumber, feta and tzatziki and it’s SO yum!!!

Katy! I mean this in the kindest way possible, but your trainer is not fixing your squat form. I would ask about it during your next session to really work on it. Don’t want you to injure your back as you build on weight!! Great vlog otherwise.

As someone who ended up in the hospital with a spine injury because of poor squatting form and now can never do squats ever again…I fully support this comment 🙈

As a competitive power lifter your form looks great! You just need to work on your ROM (range of motion) which will come over time :)

I decided to stop drinking for a bit in June and now I am going on 7 months! Not drinking is difficult at first, but it is so empowering!

I just came up on 1 year! It was somewhat unintentional (I was super sick with mono so obviously couldn't drink for a while) but I'm glad I've stuck with not drinking :)

One of my favorite ways to eat chickpeas is in a Mediterranean salad! There’s lots of iterations, but what I normally do: - chickpeas - cherry tomatoes - cucumbers - kalmata olives - red onion - bell pepper - feta cheese Chop everything up and throw it in a bowl with some red wine vinegar, olive oil, salt, pepper, and whatever other seasonings you want and that’s it! Super simple and you can keep it in the fridge for several days. Perfect for lunch at home. You could also add pearled couscous or quinoa to make it a little heartier

For the chickpeas, I love adding them when I make a chili. So add everything you normally do including your beans of choice but also add chickpeas. Its delish

I’m sure your trainer is lovely, but I feel like all of the workouts we see are the same with limited weight increase. This is especially an issue since you mention wanting to gain muscle. Also, your trainer should be constructively fixing your form so you don’t hurt yourself. For as long as you’ve been working with her, I just would expect more progress. And I don’t mean that to be hurtful, just an observation. It might be worth it to try out a new gym or a new trainer. I’m sure she isn’t cheap.

I commented before but not sure the link worked. Slow cooker Coconut chickpea curry- 2 cans of chickpeas (15oz each), drained and rinsed 1 small onion, chopped (about one cup) 2 large cloves of garlic, minced 14.5oz can of tomato sauce (about 1 3/4 cup) 6oz can of tomato paste 13.5oz can of coconut milk 2 cups of frozen peas 3 tablespoons honey 2 tablespoons curry powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper Put ingredients in slow cooker- low for 8 hours or until onions are soft (4 servings)

Air fryer chickpeas are my go-to! Strain and then mix w/ olive oil and seasoning (I use either green goddess or chili lime Trader Joe's seasoning), air fry at 375 for like 7/8 mins, SO GOOD and crunchy!! 🥰

Recipe w/Chickpeas!! Chopped salad: Cucumber Cherry tomatoes Red onion Chickpeas Kalamata olives Feta crumbles Olive oil & Red wine vinegar Salt & pepper store in the fridge for the week and it’s a great low carb lunch meal:) Add shredded chicken for extra protein! I just eyeball all the ingredients

My fav way to incorporate chickpeas is roasting them and adding to any salad!! They get crispy and delicious

When I visited Florida from the UK in 2012, I bought a Vera Bradley bag to use for sixth form college (junior and senior Year in American high school) and I still use it today as my work bag! It’s a bit tatty in places but has lasted so well!

Katy, your hair looked so cute for date night. Also, your hair is so shiny.....what is your secret? What a cute place Tiny's is. Love Jack's face looking at the instructions....lol. Hey, just a tip.....might sound like a silly one, but if you cut the paper tags off your hair stylers, the cords wrap much easier, and make them less cumbersome. Just a little tip. Pop the chickpeas in the air fryer for like 8 minutes with your fav seasonings. I see salt, pepper, and the TJs mushroom seasoning. Then sauté mushroom zucchini and onion in soy sauce. And a bag of Trader Joe’s frozen brown rice. So easy! (This was the first meal I made my now husband and he LOVED it. Lol)

I’ve been really into a chickpea salad (think tuna salad but with chickpeas instead of tuna). I use greek yogurt, chickpeas (shredded w a fork), pickles, pickle juice (thins it out), celery. I eat that with some bread and lettuce to make a chickpea salad sandwich!
