Can this new Honda Passport Trailsport handle some dirt? For 2024, this all wheel drive Trailsport edition has undergone some revisions aimed at improving off road capability. You are a mile better car reviewer than anyone on KZbin and much more entertain to watch too. The way you review the car come out more organic than the competition and less drony. I'm in the market for a new SUV and have been looking at between the RAV4, CX50, the Passport, and the crosstrek. I think I made my decision thank to you. Keep up the good work.

If you're looking for some color, the Passport looks awesome in Diffused Sky Blue Pearl. So much sport!

Ethan, If the trails are 'hit' on a regular basis then something with a frame would be a better idea. If shopping mall speed bumps are the toughest obstacle on the schedule then a unibody CUV will do the job almost as well as a minivan. 😁

Good review dude! I hope Honda will redesign the interior and exterior, the dashboard looks outdated. The 2025 Toyota 4Runner looks amazing. Thumb ups review nonetheless!! 👍🏼

Honda Passport vs Mazda CX70 Turbo AWD vs CX50 Turbo AWD vs CX5 Turbo AWD?

I test drove one of these and a '25 pilot trailsport the other day. The passport feels much faster (and it's about a full second faster in 0-60 despite having the older drivetrain/engine). The brakes on the Passport trailsport felt mushy and perhaps a bit scary to me when i attempted to slow down quickly, vs on the pilot the new larger brakes gave me more confidence. Overall i liked how the Passport drove vs the Pilot. The Pilot simply felt bigger and heavier (indeed it is about 461 pounds heavier and a bit longer). I wish this Passport Trailsport model had the same goodies as the '25 Pilot trailsport ( skid plates and new rear diff setup). I guess we'll see what the '25 Passport Trailsport brings.

Not really. I suppose the closest would be the 4Runner, but that's more of a dedicated off-road machine

Is the Highlander or Venza close? Love your videos, man, and I watch almost all of them. Love seeing someone like me who isn’t a mechanic but is a car enthusiast go through this stuff.

Not impressed at all. Looks like an early 2000s CRV is as good if not better in quite a few ways from fuel economy to interior space and design. It at least is closer to a cube shape which is nice for space

Let's be honest here....that's not an actual spare tire, that's a donut. And as far as being a trailsport...this is a sport with badging and tires, nothing more. 24mpg on a vehicle this size with a V6 and proper transmission is not bad at all. If you're going to be a car reviewer...let's lose the liberal attitude.

EPA average is 21 mpg not 24. I got 17 mpg in mixed driving. Apparently wanting to spend less money on fuel is "liberal" and spending more money on fuel is "conservative". Pushing manufacturers for better mpg could help reduce US dependence on foreign oil. Is that liberal too?

Question the end: would I take it offroad. You're looking at someone who took a 1980s Cutlass Ciera offroad,so probabaly not the best sample here. Nice Tercel shout-out there.
