I have been a Helloween fan since 1986 when I buyed their first album "Walls of Jericho" on vinyl. I still have it somewhere.. Remember my dad wasnt too impressed 😅 When Kai Hansen left the band and started Gamma Ray in the end of 1980s I litterly cried of dissapointment, but after sometime I realized I had 2 good bands to listen to. And since 2016 he is back again ❤ Thank you for this reaction. 🤘

Yey! This is possibly my favourite Helloween song. It is long and not the most serious song, but the melodies, guitars, vocals in this song... it is the prototype of the perfect power metal song to me. And even though I don't listen to power metal anymore, when I need a song to lift me up, I often play only this one and it does the job. I am glad you liked it and thank you for reacting to it. You cannot watch Helloween concert and not to smile. And I've heard people even calling them happy metal which you can understand why (although not all their songs are happy).

Halloween was the big bang of European power metal in 1987. Helloween single-handedly created this subgenre. But the band almost collapsed due to success. Guitarist and songwriter Kai Hansen (the guy with the pink guitar and the eye) leaves the band due to a dispute with management. Their next record will remain their most successful for a long time and they are changing labels. This leads to a legal dispute that blocks the band. After that, the chemistry was no longer right and the band got worse and worse. In 1993 they identified Michael Kiske (the bald guy) as the culprit and kicked him out of the band. When Andi Deris takes over the microphone, the band is at an end. With him as the main songwriter, the band recovers and returns to its former strength. In 2015 they are working on the band's 30th anniversary and are talking to Kiske and Hansen again. In 2016, this resulted in a small joint tour, which was followed by a larger one. When the members started discussing new songs on the tour bus, it was clear that there had been a reunion. The resulting record became her most successful ever. Fun fact: Kai Hansen was also the singer on the first EP, later with Gama Ray. Only then does Kiske join the band. So today the band has 3 singers and three guitarists.
