I also like that RAGGEA type of track. Andi Deris already did something like that with PINK CREAM 69 with the song WHITE MAN DONT REGGEA. Special touch to the album, i agree.

Yeah, don't know much Pink Cream 69 but Deris is an awesome vocalist so I think I will probably dig them. Have a great week!

Helloween, as we were talking on the day of the concert, are a "FUN" band too....they have this uniquely jokey way of doing things and many times, their ideas are all about being happy. Yet despite this fun factor, they never let go of the complex music, and the melodic heaviness that they are known for. This album is definitely underrated, because it does not have the history of the "Keeper of the...." albums. There are songs on this album that the band performs in live shows (Just a little sign, or Hell was made for Heaven)....I have seen them perform songs from this album while both Andi Deris and Michael Kiske were performing the singing duties together. For me, along with the Keeper and Master of the Rings albums, this is their best work. Great album by a great band and a worthy choice for you gentlemen to bring it up and introduce to the world. If you get a chance, please also review that compilation (Hear 'n Aid)....you both are awesome. Thank you for this much needed effort to bring music to the forefront of people's lives, instead of being a background thing. Helloween, along with Stratovarius as a close 2nd, will always be my top power metal band.

Agree totally! Helloween really covers a lot of different ground in their sound, sometimes with something darker/heavier or something happier/lighter. They really have done a lot in their career! Man, it would be sick to see them play those songs live. I hope they tour the US soon because I haven't been able to see them live yet. By the way, I did check out that Stars song from Hear n Aid and it was really dope! I can't believe I've listened to metal for over 20 years but never heard it before! It was cool seeing the various singers around then also jumping in. However, I still have to check more into Loudness and that French band Manigance as well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and the dope music! Peace out!!

Thanks for sharing! Helloween is great. I'm glad Ian picked this album. It was fun going through a nostalgia pick. We're planning on seeing Judas Priest on the 5th of October, so even though we'll be at a different venue, at least we'll both there in metal spirit. Stay metal!
Maybe in a future you guys can do a video for UNLEASH THE BEAST by SAXON, MASQUERADE by RUNNING WILD or TUNES OF WAR by GRAVE DIGGER. All great 90s traditional heavy metal albums.

Hello Holspa, thank you for the recommendations! I actually haven't heard any of those records so I'll keep an eye out for them. Take care!
