The most lawful neutral line a cenobite can say. I love it because it's two-sided. It's both gratification to the sadist who doesn't want to waste it, but it's also a waste of the meaning of true suffering on the girl's end because at this point she's only apprehended and not much else. They're both aware it will get much worse than the current situation, so she may as well save the tears for the actual torture.

This is pure horror gold, it's such a simple scene and yet the practical affects, the make up, the acting, make this an iconic scene from one of the best horror films ever. Where the real monsters were the humans. The Cenobites were just a force of nature, a consequence of delving too deep into forbidden pleasures. Neither good nor evil, just an end result. Apparently for this scene Clive Barker kept telling Doug Bradly to do less. Less body movements, less facial expressions. What we get is a perfectly alien being, something beyond our notion of reality. A creature that is ramrod still, emoting only with his voice, features only moving in the most extreme circumstances. Pure genius directing and perfectly done by the actor.

He is looking at his successor, his heiress, his love, his hate, his most beloved enemy, and his most clever ally: the next High Priestess of Hell. He can see that potential in her, the monster hidden behind those big doe eyes and that sweetly innocent face. Inside her is a darkness that is just itching to come out and play. I actually have a theory about the Lament Congfiguration (The Puzzle Box.) (Keep in mind I have only seen the first three movies and have never read the comics, so please don't judge too harshly) Many people think that the best way to avoid the Cenobites is to simply not solve the Box and then it's a done deal, but I dont think it's that easy. Honestly I think that the Box itself has a sort of sentience, not unlike the Ring from Lord of the Rings. Only the difference here is that the Box is not seeking to return anywhere, but instead seeks to compel those who hold it in their possession to solve it unknowingly. Whether they actually intend to solve the Box, such as the antagonist of the first movie, or accidentally solve it shortly after finding it in their grasp, the first thing that anyone does when the Box is in their hands is rub their thumb in a circle counter clockwise on the circular emblem that we can safely assume is the top of the Box. This is also the final motion of solving it. Edit: I realized shortly after typing this that Frank does NOT do this immediately, perhaps because he had every intention of solving the Box on his own despite knowing what it could contain, the Box itself saw no reason to compel him? There is NO reason for this motion, but they ALL do it and it seems to trigger something in their subconscious that pushes the individual to begin solving the puzzle. With its own automatic movements, solving the puzzle is actually pretty simple as it will mostly to the job on its own, with only a few nudges from the victim that has been caught in its trap. And that is exactly what the Lament Configuration is, more than a gateway to the Leviathan's domain and more than a simple puzzle, it is a Trap for all those unfortunate enough to stumble across it. What good is a trap that is difficult to deploy? That would be like creating a landmine that requires the soldier who steps on it to also sing a perfect rendition of "I Will Be There" from the musical production of the Count of Monte Cristo before it would go off. Again, this is all just theory and for all I know it may have already been written/spoken now.

I’m just thumbs upping this for the effort in typing this

@@fjorgyn7438 I found out the reason why another actress played the female Cenobite in the second movie was because the first actress, Grace Kirby, didn't enjoy the role much. The outfit she had to wear was causing her back problems. But also, when she looked at herself in the mirror with all the finished makeup she didn't like what she saw. It must have horrified her. The other actress, on the other hand, enjoyed the role.

The suffering of strangers, the agony of friends. There is a secret song at the centre of the world and its sound is like razors through flesh" "Do not debate with me girl, just come here and die while you still have the option of doing it quickly" "Welcome to the worst nightmare of all, reality" "You'll burn in hell for this.
