Original theme music from The Hellraiser movie. Composed by Christopher Young, released on Hellraiser Soundtrack (1987).
Clive Barker originally commissioned a soundtrack for Hellraiser from the industrial band Coil. The music they supplied was rejected, and Christopher Young provided a more traditional orchestral score for the finished movie.

God damn, this has got to be one of the most brilliant tracks ever made. It sounds dark, but not exactly evil. It sounds beautiful and elegant, but also frightening and intimidating. It just PERFECTLY defines Pinhead.

What I love about this theme is that it describes a villain who looks attractive, yet is deep down putrid and evil underneath their appearance. It fits the Frank Cotten character quite well.

In the second movie when Pinhead is shown the picture when he was still a human smiling and a single tear comes through his eyes shows you how much emotional depth this character has, he is a demonic priest but that doesn't mean he has forgotten when he was still a human. That doesn't mean he didn't love in the past, or that he wasn't happy and that also means deep down he misses that moment of his life

Oh, man. Just prepping my mind for next week. As I eagerly await my Hellraiser trilogy box to ship over here, I anticipate meeting my friend the next time, as we plant our asses down to at least watch the first movie. Wildfire Micro Well, he liked it. We watched the 1st 2 in the same night and the next week, we watched Hellraiser 3. Watching the series has been on-ice since then, as I've been scavenging everywhere for the rest of the series and over the course of these last 4 months, I've finally cobbeled together the whole series, excluding Revelations, which we can watch on Netflix.

For those out there, I do admire pinheads theme song. It did bring lots of audience to it! However I still like my theme song alot better but, I do like and respect all horror theme songs cause it took alot of people to perfect and perform them etc... Well, in the second movie they didn't kill the girl who summoned them. They said something in the lines of "It is desire, not hands that calls us". If someone calls the cenobites then they have "desire". Desire can mean curiosity it seems.
