@Artsia3 жыл бұрын
@@emptyvoid_ Thanks for the reply! Watching the video on x1 did seem a bit too flickery (that's timelapses for you, though). But then again, I deliberately slowed the video down to dissect the clean-up process down to every stroke. With that said, I think, other aspiring animators certainly wouldn't mind a slower-paced timelapse and it would probably be easier on the eyes.

When You do this process do you guys color on the same vector lineart layer or color on a separate layer? Curious for how the actual perfessional process is🥰
@emptyvoid_3 жыл бұрын
It depends on what a certain project requires. Some people do it Perfectly Right and do divide into Color layer and Line layer, but I don't do it if it's possible not to. It's faster for me to color on the line layer. Although, if I was told that i explicitely must color on the color layer only, I'd go for that.
@emptyvoid_3 жыл бұрын
Some projects require division into two such sublayers that Harmony can give when it comes to using the node tree and use a complicated rendering scheme (it's a different system for every project from what I understand currently). I'm not proficient enough to say more about that though, still a long way to master this.

The software is Toon Boom Harmony! They’re using vector lines for the lineart, which can help it look a lot more consistent and clean. Using vector lines can also speed up the cleanup process since it’s a lot easier to move them around rather than erasing and redrawing parts of your frame entirely ^^ Toon Boom Harmony *does* cost money to use, but there are quite a few different animation and digital art softwares you can use for free (or at least cheaper) to practice the fundamentals and get used to animating in general. I’d check out other tutorial and speedpaint videos to see what you can learn as well 😊 Happy animating!!💕

3:26 how where you doing the lines of the inside of the hand white? it looks like you were doing a use of the paint bucket but also the pencil in some way
@emptyvoid_9 ай бұрын
If I understood your question correctly, I used a stencil brush tool that allows to color the lineart specifically. Sometimes I have to use the eraser to separate the lines where I need it, but this tool usually does it automatically pretty well :)
@andrewleyton66899 ай бұрын
Ah, I see thank you, and how does the eraser separate the lines wouldn't be well erase where they connect and leave a space or in the video you were just using the stencil brush@@emptyvoid_
