It's really refreshing to see just how much Millie tried to comfort Moxxie for his shortcomings. Usually in these sorts of scenarios, the girl is impressed by the manly rival, and THATS why the boyfriend has to beat him. Millie never once made Moxxie feel inadequate, and she didn't want him to get hurt trying to prove himself. This is truly the most wholesome couple I've ever seen put to film, and it warms my heart. I wish more real world relationships were like this.

I'm not sure if I'd say 'wholesome, but it is a change in trope. I kind of see Millie as the same type as many real life people, often females, I've known personally, who tend towards guys who are either really incapable, or useless, or etc. People who basically have a thing for being 'needed'. It's a surprisingly common thing, at least in certain circles. This is kind of how their relationship strikes me in a lot of places. Not ALWAYS, mind you, but just a lot. Yeah, they're supportive, but as much as Moxxie is the sensible, reasonable foil of basically the whole show, he's also kind of an incapable loser at a lot of times... which is clearly part of his intended character. It takes a certain kind of person to overcome that, and most of them that I've seen in the real world have traits both of the 'wholesome' sort, and the less wholesome, rather more 'this is kind of a semi-psycho personality flaw' sort. Given so many of the other relationships on the show being flawed in this sort of way, it appeals to me a bit to see Millie as having that feeling of 'I have to be needed' and wanting some hopelessness and cluelessness in a mate. Feels like it fits a little better into the framework of the show.

@@kyraeuswulf5091 Moxxie is no way incapable, the only reason you might think that is because of how he is viewed from the perspective of other Imps. He is different. While he is physically weaker he is also much calmer, has more morals, collected, musically inclined, book smart, and very good with guns. Imps tend to mainly value brute strength. This could point to him growing up differently, perhaps adopted similar to Luna but to a higher class family where brawn wasn't needed as much. These qualities are probably what Millie sees as attractive, and I might guess Moxxie had issues attracting a potential partner being so different. You can tell he is obviously more educated, shows respect, and even his manner of dress shows a higher class. He dresses better then all the other imps, even his boss, and has since the start of the series. Moxxie's gun skills probably surpass Blitzo's who is also very good. Mollie isn't as good with guns and prefers to use a knife and be in melee combat as shown throughout the series.

Can I just take a moment to once again voice my appreciation of what a loyal, supportive, and loving wife Millie is? Every other time I've seen this kind of plot in action, the wife / girlfriend swoons over the new rival character and then chastises her man for being jealous and insecure. But Millie was supportive and sensitive towards Moxie throughout the whole episode. It's actually kind of sad how refreshing that is to see because it proves how little it is actually seen in stories
