Thanks a lot! Isn't it amazing what a simple cell phone camera can do as far as audio goes. I have JBL speakers, Stage A180 and they are fantastic. The recording is just my old Meantime CD. Calling this "Side 2" was a bit of a tease - I don't have Meantime on vinyl. But I got sick of trying to do a full album playthrough without fucking up, and I already have videos for three of the first five songs so I went with just the second half of the album for a playthrough.

believe it or not, the pickups you see in this silverburst Gibson RD were originally in that Les Paul. I have done a lot of pickup swapping between various guitars over the years. The Les Paul now has P-90's but I'm afraid I'm not happy with the sound, so I've sorta let that guitar sit idle. The RD is a more comfortable guitar although it lacks the high fret access (a very weird design feature)

Thanks! You know, way back when this album came out, I got an advance copy on tape, but the side order was mixed up so all summer of 1992 I was listening to tracks 6-10 first, then 1-5. I still think Turned Out makes a little bit better album closer. And they used to open with Role Model at a lot of the shows I saw back then

I like your guitar. It's unusual. What model is it?

It is a 2007 limited edition Gibson RD. It's a reissue of a 70's guitar that was not a huge seller in its time - it had active pickups which was rather unusual. But this reissue has regular humbuckers. I mainly was drawn by the silverburst finish, and the body design is pretty cool although it sacrifices some high-fret access. The band Ghost used modern RD's (not silverburst, though) during their early years. And probably the most famous use was the RD bass played by Krist Noveselic of Nirvana. My reissue came with Gibson's "Dirty Fingers" humbuckers but I switched them out for good old 490's

very cool! Yes that silverburst is really nice! I recently bought a Fender Meteora and came so close to getting the silverburst but went with standard sunburst... thanks for the info amd great helmet covers!
