I have diagnosed myself with MCAS after i saw a TikTok of a woman who had this after getting COVID. I had the same things as her. All of a sudden, after that i started to react very bad to foods also, heart palpitations, running nose, shortness of breath, anxiety, headache, diarrhea, throat pain, skin condition worsening. So now i know i have histamine intolerance, i can’t eat everything and respond very well to Quercitine. I did research on histamine intolerance and MCAS. That’s how i know how to treat myself. Unfortunately my GP is trying to gaslight me. Last time i was there she said histamine intolerance doesn’t exist. I left there crying cause I felt so bad. She was telling me i have anxiety issues. Doctors will still blame things either on your weight or tell you you have hysteria. It’s a shame. We women know what is going on with ourselves. I was fortunate to see that TikTok or else i would have never known what is going on with myself.

It may also be beneficial to look into the GAPS nutritional protocol. I have since figured out that all my symptoms, ( a lot of what you also have) are due to a leaky gut! Check out Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride’s books. GAPS stands for Gut And Psychology Syndrome. Hope this helps. There is a way to heal, it’s just going to take time to heal fully. I am doing the GAPS now and realize it’s going to take at least 2 years. I think it’s worth it tho.

I had a wicked case of long covid for 32 months. It was neurologic. No POTS, no brain fog. Dr. Bryan Ardis suggested nicotine patches. I applied a 7mg nicotine patch 24 hrs/ day for 7 days. By 4 weeks later my horrific symptoms abated by 95%. I had been reduced to a mere shell of my former self and couldn't do any of my normal activities. After the nicotine I am back in action! It's cheap, easy and relatively safe. The nicotine binds to nicotinic receptors on the cell surface, in preference to the spike protein. That's the theory. As a physician and surgeon, I'm back in the game!

Great talk. I often find low glutathione deficiency in these patients. One study pointed out that glutathione deficient patients have more severe Covid. I also see mitochondrial issues, especially at the malic acid step which is controlled by B3. We have seen a rapid response to glutathione IVs and just starting NAD. IVs. The last patient went from 1/10 to both cognitive and energy to 6/10 in both overnight following a glutathione IV. My favorite supplement is ATP Fuel, which supports mitochondrial function. We have confirmed this finding with a urine organic acid test or Genova Metabolomix test. In general, I agree with your findings. NAD IVs can cause stomach pain during administration unless given methyl donors prior to treatment, but are quite effective.

What an amazing video. It matches spot on with my long covid experience. I got covid last November, and after some serious PEM, I started taking NADH+. My mood immediately improved and the brain fog/memory/word recall issues started clearing. I guess that freed up the tryptophan! I was still experiencing random muscle twitches in my thumb after that. I started taking zinc and 50% of the twitches went away. Once I added Selenium to my supplementation regime, the muscle twitches went away completely. I think I may have low level undiagnosed MCAS because I've had IBS and allergies to dust since 17 years old. I've been on the low histamine diet and my IBS and allergies went away almost overnight (I'm 42 now so those were problems I've had for 25 years)! I absolutely cannot tolerate the following foods under any circumstances since getting covid as I get really bad mood, super sensitivity to noise, bad sinus congestion, and severe bloating : tomatoes, cacao, eggs, cucumber, dried coconut, sulphites, dairy, meat, especially fish like sardines (mental fog and physical shakes for days), MSG.

I've had a terrible time of it, was in great shape before but now I feel debilitated, I can't talk right, upper body strength is almost gone am starting to have trouble walking, brain fog, and am really starting to feel pissed off all the time, I came inside the other day and just banged my head against the wall...only once as I know it was a stupid thing to do. I never had any symptoms before. I've had 3 MRIs a cat scan radiology barium swallow and 10 blood draws and been to 3 nephrology out-of-town doctors ...WTF? I wish that I could still cry.

It’s a shame our own doctors don’t have this information and give it out to patients who are struggling like me . I “THINK “ I’ve got long covid but nobody in the healthcare system has pinpointed to this. I’ve had blood tests, scans and x rays which are all normal and then I’m sent back home to suffer tiredness , chest pressure, shortness of breath. Thanks to this doctor things are easing up. It’s Just as well we have the internet and KZbin to offer advice because the NHS are simply struggling with answers.

I haven't had Covid, I had Glandular fever and Ross River fever years ago and that started me on this path. It's only now so many people are getting long haul Covid that the attention is on it and people that have been suffering for decades are finally getting answers and validation. I fainted in a supermarket, a few months ago, after years of fatigue and numerous other symptoms finally to get a diagnosis of POTS/Dysautonomia, now having to find I have had issues with histamine intolerance for years, waiting to have further tests to investigate the damage done to my digestive tract. I turned 51 this year, I had Glandular fever when I was 13, was told after falling/fainting off a horse (after a 3 month recovery) it was due over excitement and my fatigue was depression this type of 'diagnosis' continued on until this year....The medical fraternity are generally only as clever as what they are spoon fed in medical school. Thank goodness for Docs like Tina....

I would take the supplements the doctor mentioned in the talk e.g. vitamin C, magnesium, selenium, zinc, quercetin, niacin, reduce the high histamine foods & the DAO blockers she also referred to. And also take supplements for mitochondria health- CoQ10 and NADH, and glutathione- NAC. Take it slowly and also do mindfullness or something to keep your nervous system in balance.

Tomatoes and spinach are super high salicylate. Nuts and strawberries are also very high salicylates. And the teas and coffee are also super high salicylate they also deplete thiamine. Salicylates inhibit oxidative phosphorylation ( can’t make ATP ). Probably glycine uptake issues due to history of metabolic syndrome. Cannot detoxify salicylates and Benzoic acid without glycine and B5. This leads to high levels of xanthine too >>>> this means they become vulnerable to Sjogrens. , RA, Breast cancer. Tinnitus. Osteoporosis Glycine utilization ( GNMT enzyme ) requires B3 ( NAD ). She even mentioned serotonin being depleted due to B3 deficiency. The body diverts tryptophan to make B3- at the expense of serotonin !! What also helps clean up (conjugate ) toxins ) sulfation which requires B2 B3 selenium. Molybdenum zinc.

I eat a ton of vegetables (raw and cooked) now and my gut bacteria changed to digest them easier over about 3-4 months of only eating plant-based. Just a tip, it eliminated my IBS except for the occasional stress-induced issues (like a death in the family). I still drink wine and beer and have no issues with those. Never drink liquor.

This is exactly me. I got Covid in April 2021. It’s now November 2022, 19 months on and I’m still suffering. I found this video to be one of the best and more precise for what I have been dealing with. It makes sense that Covid exacerbated my MCAS and histamine intolerance. I never thought I had a problem before Covid but looking back a few years before Covid I started having issues with alcohol. It didn’t matter what type I had, I would immediately become congested, sneezing and coughing fits. No wonder! And even before that if I get bit by mosquitoes I welt up huge and have a significant reaction! And even before THAT, as far back as when I was a child I would get poison Ivy all the time playing in the woods and I would always have to go to the Dr and get steroid shots or oral steroids. So bad that I got it in my eyes one time and my eyes were swollen shut for 2 weeks! I swear, I wish I had known this forever ago. I have been to so many specialists over the last year and a half, tests, blood work, procedures. All came back normal, nobody could tell me what was wrong. Finally found a naturopath a few months ago. He had me do a Lyme test which came back positive, I have Chronic Lyme disease. Which Covid has also been recognized for bringing out underlying conditions/ diseases/viruses. Yay me! He wanted me to do a $5,000 Lyme treatment which I declined for the time being because I had racked up thousands of dollars already from all my appointments with previous Dr’s, tests and procedures. So then he mentioned LDA Immunotherapy. I have done 2 shots so far, going in once every 8 weeks. You are supposed to commit for at least a year. I felt 100% like myself after the first shot. Just had the 2nd shot about 2 weeks ago and didn’t notice a difference at all. I have been seeing more and more studies and research come out about long Covid and MCAS that now I am convinced this is what I’ve been dealing with all along. I had actually mentioned to him back in June of this year, 2022 when I had my first appointment with him that I thought I had some sort of MCAS and histamine intolerance going on. Well, turns out I wasn’t far off! I now have an appointment with him next week to go over all of this information and to put a hold on continuing LDA at this time. Maybe at some point in the future, we’ll see. There has been a lot of info coming out of the FLCCC Alliance also on long Covid protocols. I will be discussing what I have just learned from this very informative video and also the protocols suggested by the FLCCC. If anyone is interested look them up as well. They also suggest the use of a Near Infrared Sauna at least 3-4 times a week to help detoxify your body of the Spike protein. Very interesting, I will be looking into this as well. I have also heard of that treatment working for Chronic Lyme patients. Also I have a couple questions. I hope that this comment is seen so I can get a couple things clarified please. The amount of Magnesium wasn’t mentioned. Also, what about this histamine diet? After 6 months time what are you supposed to do then? Slowly start adding in more foods, and what foods? Also what about meat? Which ones are better if so, and how is one to prepare them? I know leaving leftovers in the fridge is not acceptable as the histamine levels grow the longer they are left. So would you freeze any left over meat and then how would one thaw it properly? What about eggs? I’ve been to numerous sites for lists of high and low histamine foods but they’re ALL different! 😑 Some say eggs are fine while others say “if tolerated”. Well what does that mean?? I also wonder if this will be a life long battle or over time will, like the Dr said, your Mast Cells get sort of retrained or new ones develop stronger? I have already changed the way I eat. I have over the past 6 months switched to an all organic diet. Soaking my nuts, seeds, grains and oats. Which I will not be able to do for some time I guess because soaking grains requires an acid medium like apple cider vinegar or lemon juice which is extremely high in histamine so I guess I’ll have to stay away from grains then. If I end up not soaking grains then it could have effects on the gut so I’m out of luck either way. 😔 I have cut out coffee, tea and alcohol for quite some time. I now make all of my own hygiene and cleaning products. I go to my local farmers market and farms to buy meat and produce. I can see this is going to be a long recovery. Thank you again for this very informative video! ❤

I had already learned much about c*vid and relief protocols from other stuff I learned from Jonathan Otto's brilliant and brave documentaries. Then I finally tested positive for c$vid for first time in May 2022. On June 1, 2022 I felt lighter, slightly less fatigued and achey and I felt like the very cloudy window in my brain had been washed overnight so much that I actually wrote down Brain Fog Gone. Oh happy Day. All glory to God for leading me down that path all those years and all those good doctors who helped me with some symptom relief ... but no real Solutions. They just do not know what they do not know. I started the new detox protocols (including parasite detox which should not be overlooked!!!!) I learned about much of this on J Otto docuseries about c* vid and have been Rapidly improving since then. Much less aches, much improved strength in my legs. I can now stand up totally straight again(!!!),. Much improved balance in just 5 months. (I discovered and started alpha lipoic acid and replaced my Lyrica with that around early 2022). For covid protection, following flccc net for 2 yrs, I had been taking the 30-50 mg zinc, 2 quercetin with bromelain dose on the bottle, 5000 IU Vit D and K2, 350-400 mg magnesium, B1 Benfotiamine, B complex, 1 tsp black seed oil (start out very slow!!), Some days ACV. I had gradually been increasing iodine as well. I had fixed my leaky gut prior to then (spring 2022) using 1/2 h 1 tsp l_glutamine ( twice a day on empty stomach for about 3 weeks ) which was key in absorbing all my good foods (reduced my breads, pastas, sweets but did not count carbs) and supplements more properly. I had already learned much about c*vid and relief protocols from other stuff I learned from Jonathan Otto's brilliant and brave documentaries. Then I finally tested positive for c$vid for first time in May 2022. Mild symptoms for 5 days and tested negative at 12 days I stopped infliximab due to the c@vid but never went back on yet because. . Drum roll please . EUREKA: In May 2022 the Intermittent fasting I had been trying to do about 3 months finally kicked in ( the stem cells it can generate after the body realizes in 3-4 weeks it can handle fewer neals). On June 1, 2022 I felt lighter, slightly less fatigued and achey and I felt like the very cloudy window in my brain had been washed overnight so much that I actually wrote down Brain Fog Gone. Oh happy Day. All glory to God for leading me down that path all those years and all those doctors who helped me with some symptom relief but no real Solutions. They just do not know what they do not know. I started the detox protocols (including parasite detox which should not be overlooked!!!!) I learned about much of this on J Otto docuseries about c* vid and have been Rapidly improving since then. Much less aches, much improved strength in my legs. I can now stand up totally straight again(!!!),. Much improved balance in just 5 months. My neuro doc and PT folks are documenting my rapid recovery after being locked up in a very sick body all those years my children were growing up and my faithful husband just watched me progress downward and push through whatever came along. . I weeo and thank God daily for the graces to get to this point and the thousands of yt videos from the brave, courageous, persistent doctors all over the world just like on this video who have not given up the hope that solutions will be found. I want to share my hope for full recovery with my suffering and relentless brothers and sisters all over the world who are suffering that there are solutions not just relief. Thank you for reading this far. God does want all his children healed, not just feeling a little better. More people have parasites than is recognized which causes much inflammation and the cascade of many chronic.

I have been suffering from Long Covid and found that caffeine made my fatigue worse which I thought was strange. I also tried using Vitamin D which reduced my Dysgeusia (taste distortion) down - but unfortunately this has come back. I believe there is something to this. I've been eating bananas to get that energy kick but I will avoid it now. It will be interesting to see if this theory also relates to depression which I have read is also connected to inflammation.

When I took 25mg of Zinc for two days, I then had neurological breast pains, I immediately stopped taking the zinc and within 48 hours the breast pains stopped. If a person is getting enough zinc in their diet, too much zinc can disrupt the copper in the body and copper is essential for the functioning of the body.

Hi Chrys, it’s been 14 months since I got Covid, I still can’t do anything explosive like Zumba without consequences, yet... but It does get better over time and I think focusing on diet and stuff really helps, and Aqua classes! have hope. I am starting to exercise more without ending up back in bed for some days feeling awful. I’m doing Aqua classes a couple times a week which is working all my muscles and increasing flexibility without over exerting. Loving it, even the cheesy beats and on good days I can really push myself hard in the pool. Also just beginning to play a bit of gentle tennis, but playing at my previous level wiped me out for a week with all the trimmings! I’m also doing Qigong three times a week which is starting to rebuild some of the explosive muscle response. Hoping to get back to body workout and running by the end of the year. I was mostly flat out in bed for 8 months then picked up on Dr. Tina’s insights, went on a low Histamine diet, taking antihistamines and niacin, selenium, NAC all that stuff for 6 months and eventually the fortnightly relapses calmed down. Currently I’m avoiding any sugar, gluten, alcohol, coffee, on a very low carbohydrate, high protein, mostly veggie diet. I’m not reacting badly to avocados which are high histamine and I’ve stopped taking the antihistamines (6 months for mast cell life cycle) and feeling half human again with steady increases in energy levels. I’ve adjusted to the fact it’s a long slow process but I am in a way better place than I was six months ago. It’s trial and error though, everyone’s symptoms react differently it seems, the post Covid clinic have now referred me onto the CFS/ME clinic here, I’m finding lots of the CFS stuff online helpful. Wishing you a good recovery, this bug is nasty, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank you for the very informative and helpful interview with Dr. Tina Peers. I was hoping to find a potential cure for the inflammation that I am experiencing without resorting to medication. I have cut out some high histamine foods and it seems to be working!

Thank you for this video. I will definitely try this diet and vitamins regimen, although I only eat fish, so I don’t know how that will work, and I love all the things your saying not to eat…. Oh boy. But I need some help, I’m in nursing school and Long Covid is not ideal for my high stress from studying and such. Sigh
