Thanks Perry, this was my character and I did make the changes you recommended and am now doing 200 Corruption which I was struggling with before. I still need to farm up more health mod's but it is better! Shield was a huge help

A testament to this game’s quality is that even when you follow a build guide, you still end up changing enough of the build to make it your own. It is amazing!!

I agree with a lot of your points Perry except Shadow Cascade is pretty important for mana sustain. Could be doable without the extra shadow creation node in sync strike though. One thing that immediately stuck out to me are the bases they're using. Attack speed amulet, movement speed belt, shadow damage chest, haste effect boots, crit rate relic. Having defensive bases means freeing up suffixes for more health.

Very true but if he was anything like me, it's just not possible to get good rolls on good bases. I've had terrible luck gearing so far. I'm level 94 and stuck in low corruption because I can't get good vases to drop with anything relevant.
@pandabosch10 ай бұрын
@@SinnfullDuck Then you take bad rolls on good bases. If you're waiting to find the perfect piece of gear then you're going to be stuck in low corruption for weeks maybe months. You don't need perfect gear to do high level corruption. I was watching Wudijo and the Curse do 800+ corruptions and they both had dead rolls on a couple pieces of gear. Also by level 94 you've put in a lot of playtime and have seen a lot of loot. I have to wonder if you're loot filter is to strict or your standards for gear are to high. A large majority of builds should be able to do 300+ corruption with just rare gear.

@pandabosch I'm sure I'm doing a lot wrong but it's hard to know what you don't know. That's why I was hoping Perry would make a falconer and ahow me the way. In the meantime I'll take the advice and look for better bases with bad rolls if needed.

I did this for my Warlock and will do something similar with the Falconer once the kinks of that class are worked out. I followed Maxroll's guide for the bleed Warlock in terms of "this structure of items, skills, passives works" but changed a few nodes here and there. I'm putting all points into every passive node giving me Intelligence. I'm not putting any points into the node, that gives me Doom chance, because the build also gets a lot of Doom chance from gear. Instead I was able to put all the points into the Lich passive, that gives you 120% more damage when you're on low life (first column of the Lich passives, the passive down at the bottom). I also changed some stuff on Ghostflame, so that Ghostflame itself is also Physical and has a bleed chance.

Very interesting video. Out of curiosity, what do you think of Cradle of the Erased for Rogue builds? Cradle feels really amazing on builds that have good damage projection and dodge, because the golden aegis stacks don't really fall off in that situation, and it's very easy to farm up a really strong Cradle via prophecies. I've been using one on my falconer, it feels great, and I think I would use that on umbral blades as well.
@PerrythePig10 ай бұрын
pretty cool idea, even outside of the Glancing Blow interaction on Falconer. I'd be into it.
@Sidnv10 ай бұрын
@@PerrythePig I think Cradle is super underrated in general yeah. It feels better on this build than nerfed bastion does on strength builds because of how much free block and block effect it provides and how nutty the implicits can get. Now that prophecies generate so many 16+ weaver's will items, I've managed to make some awesome all res, block chance cradles, and some cold res phys res cradles for mourning frost builds. I also think the same applies to Code of an Erased Sentinel (which is just such an insane item), along with the other class relics, and Swaddling of the Erased. I found a 20 will sentinel code that is strongly suggesting I reroll sentinel. I'm also just using Cradle for block and not converting block to Glancing Blows. Falconer can cap Glancing Blows easily enough (with the caveat of not being hit recently), though I could see other Falconer builds actually using the Glancing Blows conversion instead. It's an interesting thought.

hi is there a faster way of getting class specific shards i.e frostbite for chest / helmet for the frostclaw build than just dropping an item with it and shattering it?
@edgybravo428710 ай бұрын
Don't shatter use glyph of hope and rune of removal so you get all the shards possible. Only use shatter if there isn't forge potential left.
@UltraSuperDuperFreak10 ай бұрын
Also in "Monolith of Fate Timelines" at the "The Last Ruin" level 100 version. You can get a blessing called "Grand Memory of Masters" whichdoes: "(20% to 30%) Increased Class Specific Shard Drop Rate" . So you find them quicker if you are in a hurry, or need alot of them.

When you say that rogues really aren’t “squishy” are there any viable end game builds that are inherently “squishy”? Looking for a high risk high reward build to play!
@resonating662110 ай бұрын
can you go into greater detail on not wanting resists on gear in favor of health? shouldnt you get your resists up and only get hp on gear once you have resists sorted?
@brodinism10 ай бұрын
Getting resists through item implicits and blessings instead of affixes frees up a lot of affixes for health/other defenses. Same for Crit Immunity, although since the introduction of Citadel boots and the Reduced Crit Damage Taken + Armor suffix, the Crit Avoidance blessing IMO has lost a lot of value.
@encharrion127510 ай бұрын
Resistances in LE are not nearly as important as in other ARPGS. Enemies penetrate resistances based on the area level up to a max of 75%, and this is applied after resistance cap. This means that in endgame, having capped resist really means you have 0% resists, and being 10% under cap, means you are only taking 10% more damage than at cap, unlike other games like Path of Exile, where being only 10% under cap would actually mean taking 40% (!) more damage than at cap. Ultimately, this means that capping resistances, while useful, is not particularly important, and is more of a secondary or tertiary defense layer. TLDR: Increasing your maximum health is ultimately more important than ensuring capped resists because resists have a decreased impact in LE

For the health part, does Last Epoch have a recommended min-health for starting empowered monoliths? POE for example, 4k life is seen has bare minimum for starting maps unless you can already melt the enemies Under 1.2k health in empowered monoliths on my rogues felt like I was getting stunned a lot, which seems to be the main thing that kills me.
@dev.100410 ай бұрын
poe's rule of thumb is 300hp/act so that's around 1.5k-2k recommended to start maps....not 4k... and for LE it's really dependent on your class and build. ive started empowered monos with 800hp on some chars and done well, and other builds ive started with 2k and had no problem
@TheBearman_TV10 ай бұрын
4k HP is the benchmark you want in softcore for most HP builds minimum end-game pool with layered defences- not going into maps. White maps you can easily blast not res capped with 1.5k-2k life on any okay build.

@@TheBearman_TV Last time I played I was still getting one shot in early maps with like 5k Ehp, capped res, and 60% evasion.. Idk what the hell I was doing wrong.

@@dev.1004 ....300hp/act.... 10 acts.... How exactly do you get 1.5k-2k? It's literally 300 x 10. Thats 3k. You should probably have that much going into maps, though some builds will need more and some will be fine with less.
@UltraSuperDuperFreak10 ай бұрын
@@Huckle777 Nothing most likely. POE has always hade one shoots (most are actualy 2-3, but it looks like one since they close together). Especially new league mechanics tends to do it. Some type of damage bypass energi aswell (chaos etc)

I just don't want to gear defensively. It feels bad to pass over every unique because I need resistance and HP. It's just not fun to not be able to play the game because you chose crit over HP and now you have to farm for hours just to make progress.
