Tomlin, your lessons are greatly appreciated. You might find this amusing. When I'm playing harmonica the metronome I hear in my head are your snaps. You have a highly evolved thumb and middle finger! Happy new Year!🎉

Thank you Tomlin for your videos cause its all I got to go on. Been clawing my way to a place where I am ready to receive instruction on how to do things proper. Took me some time to get there and bury the myths about the blues I had in my head. No man is an island and your videos remind me of that fact.

I was wondering what key Harmonica you think Sugar Blue plays Help Me in. I want to say High G. I could not find any info telling me what key he is using. This is the song. I love this version. Sugar Blue - Help Me kzbin.info/www/bejne/hmnVfahjn6anlck&start_radio=1

Hi Tomlin. Another great lesson as an introduction to the song. Do you have plans in the future for your lessons to compete full songs and not just intros? Your approach is too good to waste such an opportunity.John

Key = A flat ?-------------------Second Position = F ?
@rosco1pug2 жыл бұрын
I'm sure you've got this already but 'F' is the 5th note in the Bb major scale (mention of A flat is a simple misunderstanding of what Tomlin states here). Playing 'second position' harp means starting on the 5th in any given scale
Omigosh...let's try and play a little of the black chaps blues type of music peregrine,....You know the fellas, the ones we dragged from Africa and worked for us, You know the ones Simon ...Lets just play their music for a while and maybe teach them something about what they actually created...too funny man...Give me a banjo Alistaire, we'll go the smoking room and discuss their bloody attitudes, I can play that nigga music...Posh people playing the blues is too damn funny...
