For everyone confused there’s a new law in KPOP, it’s normal with a contract renewal that it’s only for 2-3 years and not 7 years like the initial contract, so Wheein has an exclusive agreement for Mamamoo until the others’ contract expires and then the other members will start contract renewals with RBW again.

there is an article saying about this where the trend of renewal of idols changed nowadays. Naeun from Apink and Wheein chose the "separately and together" strategy of continuing the team by participating in Apink and Mamamoo activities in the future.. This might be not the last time we will see this kind of event. Same with wht happened to Got7 now. Other girl group will follow their step..

Loved that you related to the song personally. Tho it's about their journey I think we can all relate to their struggles and questions about how we got here, where we're at now and where to go next. Had to grimace when you said MMM was at the tippy top of the mountain. That's only true artistically. This masterpiece peaked at 93 on Gaon, the worst chart performance of a MMM title track in their career, the next worst being Piano Man at 41 when they were rookies. The WAW album sales are equally pathetic, esp compared to the sales for other new kpop albums. They're the most taken for granted, underappreciated world-class, tippy top tier artists in kpop.

Just a clarification, because most people just mention Wheein, but ALL the girls’ new contracts end in 2023. In 2023 they will all either resign to another 2-3 years as Mamamoo or not*, not just Wi. Just sayin’ tho, Mamamoo have repeatedly said they still have so much they want to do as a group. I highly doubt they’d give up their group activities in the next 2 years.
