Thanks I really needed this information 😢 I used my topper this weekend for my daughter’s wedding and had it styled with a stylist. It came out so nice but she put so much product in. I washed it off and was trying to style it and it looks fried from the ends 😮 I almost threw it away! So I’ll try all your tips ❤thanks!

Hey Denise! This was really helpful. I love Fiery Copper, just haven't been brave enough to get one yet! I don't know if I've shared this with you before but L'ange has a tool called the Le Duo. It's like a flat iron on the plates but the outer casing is a round barrel that blows cool air so if you use it like a curling iron it makes a curl and sets it all at once! I've used it a lot on my heat friendly pieces to change or reset a style and it's works like a DREAM!! No holding curls waiting for them to cool. It's like one and done, easy peasy lemon squeezy!! I don't work for L'ange and get nothing at all for recommending it, I just like to share it to make this journey easier for my wig sisters! God bless!!

So true re: those heat friendly pieces! I knew they needed heat here and there, but didn't realize how often for the longer, 16" styles, would need heat. I bit the bullet and took my Belle Tress Tea Leaf and Straight Press pieces and flat ironed them good! And know what? I was going to give them away but the heat beating I have 'em really worked to make them silky soft again. Who knew? I did have to work to get a soft wave back into Tea Leaf, but at least I have them looking good again...not perfect like brand new, but still good.

Did the opposite of what everyone says😢 i feel almost heat made it worse. I washed it, tried heat again, and nothing. I don't know, im too scared to EVER use heat on them again. I guess ill try and trim the dryness off. If it doesn't work, ill just buy another one.

Hello Denise. This is such a great site especially living in UK as we just don't have this type of help and advice. I was just wondering how you get the lace to sit so flat at the front. This is a great video Denise!!! Thank you! I was finally able to get a wig…Ignite HF wig. So happy with it but the front ends are getting sticky and clumpy. Would that large air dryer you are using work for that or is it going to be too large?
@newshoesbigblister11 ай бұрын
I got one of those "wide tooth brushes" because I was struggling with my synthetic (not HD) JR Angelique as it is a longer length and after wearing it, it would get so tangled the JR wide tooth comb just wasn't dealing with the tangles and knots. I don't know if it was my technique or what, but with regular use to remove the the knots, the brush stretched the fibres something awful, and by the end of the month it was unwearable- more like a coarse broom than a synthetic wig. I had thought I was being gentle...but it didn't work. Wish I knew if it was just my bad technique or the brush, or a combination of various things. But I did stop using the brush after that. Maybe only works for shorter wigs?🤔

I love my heat friendly wigs, although I’ve been procrastinating about taking heat to them. I have a couple of my well-loved short wigs that need heat ASAP. I have all the tools, except a flatiron (don’t you have a favorite that you talked about in one of your videos?) It’s just a matter of getting things set up to do it. Looks great and thank you for this tutorial. I agree it’s much trickier to heat treat curly heat resistant fibers. After watching somebody else’s tutorial , I straighten my RW Wavy Day with my heat comb tool. My heat comb is especially sold for synthetic wigs. It really straightened the fibers - but also the perma tease ! Just letting you know that afterwards it was not a good look because you could see through to the wefts . Do not know how to put the wig back together again 😢

I'm a newbie. I thought heat-friendly meant it would tolerate heat, not that it actually needed heat on a regular basis. Can you toss the wig into its hairnet that it came in and put it into the clothes dryer and just let it bounce around for 5 minutes on high heat? Don't laugh but I don't want to mess with blow dryers and all that nonsense. I didn't like doing it with my real hair much either. You look wonderful, btw. Keto?
@heywigsister6 ай бұрын
Hi! I see you found my keto video... I would not try putting it in the dryer... all that bouncing around could cause more fraying and tangles. I thought the same thing you did about heat friendly wigs, but the truth is that they do need regular heat to keep the fibers smooth. Shorter wigs like this one need it much less frequently than longer wigs... it is the friction that really gets to them. Rubbing on clothing is really hard on them.

Oh my goodness! Nobody ever told me I needed to take heat to the RW heat-friendly wigs I bought. I made the mistake of buying the RW Editor's Elite Pick as my first wig. So I had a stylist thin it & trim it but the curls got nasty, even after I washed it in downy & added a dab of oil. So it sits in a box. I stick with Upstage & Crowd Pleaser, and again trim & thin to my face. I also made the mistake of straightening one of them & thought I could curl it again because I watched a video stating the wig will return to its style..... which is true for washing it but not if you use a flat iron. THX DENISE!!!!

The tricky part about Editor's Pick is that if you do what I did here you will straighten out the curl pattern... I actually talk about this in this video using Editor's Pick: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5KVlXWtn7B4os0si=OMoWYuDqNwZNArqf
