Personally I never leave the house unless I've got my phone, wallet, and keys in my hands as I shut the door. If there's something else I'm supposed to take that day though: high chance I'll forget it! 😂

I always leave stuff I have to take by the door so I can't miss it. I should add 'jacket/sunhat/weather attire' to my mental checklist though. I have reminded my kids so many times and then gone out without my own! 😂

Also, I find that my kiddo doesn’t see what’s right in front of her. So looking around may not help because she doesn’t see what I see. But I do understand your point. “What do we need to take to school?” Would that work or is it too vague or overwhelming?

I would encourage you to not worry about overwhelming her. She's not going to be damaged by you requiring her to think a little harder, or push her out of her comfort zone. I cover what language to use in Executive Function Crash Course.

I love this!! I do what do we need, and then I moved to what do we want lol I do this with both my boys!! And I will be part of dude membership soon!!!
