In this video, I go over everything that there is to know about car lights. Your car has many exterior lights, and they all serve different functions and purposes. I go over the basics for turning all of the exterior lights on, and tell you what purpose each of the lights serves, and I show you what each of the car's exterior lights look like on the outside of the car. My mom drives a gold Toyota van. She has headlights amber lights and high-beam lights that flash the blue symbol on them. I still don't know how it all works and I got my license almost 2 years ago thank you for the helpful video man I needed it. That would simply be your brake lights found at the left, right, and sometimes back top centre of your car. If you can, you could get someone to press on the brakes while you’re looking from behind to see which lights turn on when you brake.

Hi, when do you use your high beam? I always use them at nights but I feel like other drivers want to tell me to turn them off because they always dim their lights

I thought I was driving with my high beams for a week because I forgot you push the stick UP for high beams. Thanks for the help. I realized I was being silly. My lights worked and I switched the bulbs and fuse for no reason 😮😮

1:08 You didn't explain WHEN we should use the corner lights, nor the rear lights that light up when u switch the corner lights on, or the back lights that light up when the high beam are on.

On my 2022 Alameda on the bottom of the mileage there is a strip that says 5 ft 10 in and it comes on only when I break at a red light and the further I go and then stop that number seems to go higher what does that mean

why some cars has tail light with one side whte and the other side red? usually, what is on the left has a mirror same colour on the right. but at times i do see some cars has tail ligth white on one side but red on the other.

Lights that are used to just sit. Parking lights, sitting lights, running lights, are all pretty much a function that enables you to be slightly more visible. Parking lights are for when you don’t want to turn on your headlights for whatever reason, while being in a parked position or Very slow motion in a safe environment (like drive way or parked, parking garage, etc) that you don’t want to throw your bright lights around. When in doubt; turn on your headlights. Headlights are a go to solution for every hazard. It makes you visible. No one ever got in trouble for using their headlights to be safe.

I thumbed it up in the first 10 seconds before even hearing if he's right or wrong. I left my "parking" (WTF?!) light on accidentally for 48h and came back to a dead battery. Here's the annoying part - if you leave the headlights on dim/normal and take the key out, when you open the door you get a nice "bong" noise to tell you the headlights are still on... useful right? Yes it is... but if you left the parking lights on the a bong doesn't go off.
