And easiest to replicate by normal everyday dog owners. It really helps to set in the fact that you have to have a no-nonsense attitude and approach when dealing with your dogs. A lot of other channels say that you need to be assertive or confident but they really don't break it down like he does to help to understand what type of confidence.

@@pittymama4500 exactly!!! I’m actually starting to see results watching Joel!💯 it’s not fun having people give me dirty looks and cross mid street with their dogs etc. cause I have an out of control pitbull. She jumps, whines, and barks at other dogs then tries to pull me over, so it looks terrifying to other people.

Bosco is amazing. And slim's teeth got mighty close there, I was quite worried. Also I feel like there might be a fine line between telling your fear aggressive dog "go play, you're fine" and standing up for them if they feel uncertain. I've tried the "you're fine" method many times and he almost always still aggresses.

Good video, straight and to the point. My Viszla who's almost 4, reacts to large dogs in a similar way and most often to intact males. Started at around 18mths. Ive watched your lead correction video and found its stopped my boy from pulling totally (although he wasnt too bad) I never quite knew the right technique, so thanks for that👍

So i watched most of your videos and this resonates. I realized i have quite a bad dog. She listens to me, sit stays, come, loose leash. But she is so tense around other dogs and strangers to the point of lunges. I am going to try your tips. Buuuut she is a bad dog in that she nips at other dogs and occasional strangers. Never a serious bite but obviously this is a dangerous situation. I do feel my dog is on another level as she will drool or "foam" around the mouth. I take her dog parks and she has never gotten in a fight but rarely plays with other dogs.

When your dog is showing that anxiety by licking its lips nip it in the bud. a nip is because the person or the dog is in its space. Nobody should approach or try to pet the dog especially if its looking away and showing that it is avoiding that person or dog. When she comes to a dog on her own reward her and when she approaches a person have that person reward her with food

Why take your dog to dog parks if hes showing you hes uncomfortable? I dont get that, i guess. It seems like a muzzle would best keep him, you, the strangers he nothing serious nips, safe.

So today I am starting your advice on how to handle my two dogs that have been fighting since February. We have been doing a crate and rotate and that has worked but disrupts our whole day because only one dog can be out at a time. Today I have taken a firmer approach on the way they fight even though they are crated one at a time. My goal for now is to be able to get my German Shepherd to be able to come in the room with the Aussie in her crate.

my corso who is super friendly and has been socialised with other dogs all this puppyhood has started showing signs of aggression toward other male dogs (females absolutely fine no problems). Now this i can only put down to two things - he was attacked by an off leash GSD while h was on leash. The GSD came running over, stopped, and then lunged at him (with dominating body language). Or, it could be his age (he is 18 months), he is a teenager, which obviously comes with problems on its own, but i do put all this reactivity to the GSD incident all because he is fine with a male Jack Russell, he is fine with a male bulldog, he is fine with a male xl bully, he is fine with a male puppy Malinois. He is not fine with dogs that are similar size to GSD, so we had an incident with a golden retriever, and my corso's behaviour looked similar to that of the GSD that attacked him, chasing the retriever and very stand-offish body language, dominating

Setting your self up for nasty dog fight, maybe not these pups but a more fearful dog. A simple, safe way to accomplish this is walking both on leash parallel, moving closer or apart based on the behavior and attitude of both dogs. Let them sniff if both comfortable , it is easy to see what they are thinking. Plus, you are showing them how you want them to interact. They may have no idea what you expect from them. Just needs two people who can control their dogs, not so easy to find.

What if i used a muzzle on my dog at a dog park off leash? My boston terrier/pug mix loves my other dog but hates stranger dogs on a leash and through a fence... I’d like to try him off leash but I don’t want him to bite another dog. I don’t know what to do 😫

I work with dogs like yours everyday. I’ve got a whole system to get them with other dogs and it usually works. But the system requires controls and good dogs. Then the controls are taken away and okay dogs are inserted. Controls and good dogs is hard to get at a dog park. So I don’t recommend a muzzle at dog parks. I’ve got quite a few session on KZbin of reactive dogs, you should watch them all and try to pick up the aspects that relate to your specific situation. If you live near SoCal you could sign up for a feisty Fido session and come by. Good luck.

Can you give me an advice regarding a dominant shihtzu x japanese spitz breed named Oreo, who makes out mixed pitbull named Evo, mad, pushing him around. And today, evo seems already pilled up, leading him to attack the oreo after oreo kept pushing him around. How can we fix this situation? Both of our dogs are sweet individuals but whenever Oreo tries to attack our Evo, a fight will happen. But today seems to be different, Evo is standing up for himself already and Oreo has alot of bite marks.

We just recently got a GSP named Bailey at 8 weeks, she is currently 15 weeks old and beginning to possibly show signs of fear aggression (according to vet). She will growl, bark, back up if the person comes forward, her back hair stands up, etc. at new people or guests coming into the home. She will do this behavior at the vet or any where else. Will these training videos on aggression work for fear aggression?
@BDTraining
@BDTraining 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Meredith, your situation is a little unique because you have puppy fear "aggression" not just fear aggression. As I tell people in your situation "the good news is your dog is young, the bad news is your dog is young". The fear hasn't yet "cemented" and so we can still mold your dog into a happy go lucky dog, but you have some work to do. In order for me to do a youtube video video on this I would need a dog like yours or it would be a video of me just talking. Do you live close? can you come out here for a session? We're in ramona, ca

What if you walk in a circle and the dog follows you or lays down but will not want to go out of his way to smell any dog. She gets really tense while she gets smelled but relaxes when they leave.. she could play fetch between 50 dogs and their humans and ignore all humans and all dogs until dogs try to take her toy. She lets them have it for 3 seconds then wants it back lol
