Einstein did not reject quantum theory because it was not "beautiful". That is sheer nonsense. He rejected it because he did not accept the uncertainty embedded in quantum mechanics. Second, Einstein was 100% an atheist in the common meaning of the term. He had a deep appreciation for the magnificence of the cosmos, but completely rejected any anthropomorphic notion of a god. He called the Judeo-Christian god a primitive and childish concept. For example, in his letter to Physicist Paul Gutkin, he said, “The word God is for me nothing but the expression of and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of venerable but still rather primitive legends.” Extrapolating the existence of any god from the fact that one finds physical laws "beautiful" is a complete non sequitur. If one found them "ugly" would that mean there is a devil?

perhaps a nuance but I teach my son to understand the scriptures - a perspective of a denomination is not relevant, nor is a famous christian or author's understanding of the faith, only the text is valid for teaching, etc also 1Co_8:6 yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist. Eph_4:6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. 1Ti_2:5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
