soothe2 settings depends on what you're trying to fix. i had to work with crappy vocals which had all sorts of nasty stuff above 5k... narrow settings worked best in this case.

Y’all taking care of any dc offsets before compressing? Asymmetrical triggering makes your compression wonky…clean house bro. Saturating or using hardware emulations can offset your signal and make things bad for compressors or limiters. I’ve caught pros lacking. This is easily observed with massive bass instruments in dubstep.
