I've just purchased a 1998 Boxster 2.5L, but a lot more used (neglected) than yours and this will be one of the first jobs I do. Having watched many of your videos over the past few weeks gave me the confidence to buy the car knowing that the maintenance jobs can be done by regular guys. So, Thanks. Your videos will be my first stop for internet advice.

+Christoph Soltau thank you! These cars are great to work on I’ve discovered. If I can do it anyone can follow along and do it themselves!

Just did mine based on your generous instructional. I took pics of before and after whihc will help you if I sell, total time about 2 hours, I'm adding a coarse Stanless Screen mesh behind my intakes to further prevent this again.

When removing pin in wheel arch. Remove hallway then spray with wd 40, push pin back in and then remove again. It will slide out with ease

Great video! I just paid my mechanic to clean the radiators and he charged me 3.5 hours at 197 / hour! Maybe I will do this myself next time.

I like your style with your videos, informative and non rushed, good pictures. Seems Porsche use a lot of the self tapping type cap screws, guess the trick is not to strip the fixings by overtightening when putting them back ... especially if using a power driver.

+Rog Burton thanks! And yes, they must have gotten a bulk discount on those things 😂. But you’re right, just be careful not to over-tighten!

Thanks for the video, would the car run cooler if the bumper was completely removed? Just a wild thought...
@HelpMeDIY4 жыл бұрын
+AR Perez I guess it would have to, but at the cost of reduced aerodynamics, radiator protection, and it would look awful 😆

Help Me DIY so today I took off the front end on my 04 Boxster S Anniversary. The amount of stuff between the rads was unbelievable. I’d vacuumed best I could and it was in the history as being done at a dealership but obv not properly , this car not out in winters too. I’d never have managed without your tuition so thanks soooo much , knowing it’s all washed and cleaned out is a great feeling 🌈🙏🏴
