Great review. Helson watches are amazing watches. Yes the do homages; however you are getting high quality movements 316L stainless steel and high depth meters and price is lesser. I own the 40mm Shark diver and Turtle 1000m...you can't go wrong..customer service is excellent and fast shipping from Hong Kong

I was waiting for you to comment on how it looks and feels in comparison to the Borealis. Which do you prefer? There is clearly a price difference.

The price difference is definitely justifiable for the Helson. Their watches are built like tanks. Unfortunately don't know much about Borealis.

@@dustinwray2819 Search for vanilla scented strap. There are plenty of options. Bonetto Cinturini makes straps that are infused with vanilla aroma.

Yep, vanilla scent is kind of a hallmark of genuine natural rubber straps. Lots of manufacturers, many from Italy, brag on that feature.

I'm trying to decide between this helson sharkmaster and one of NTH's sub watches. Is there a general consensus on what brand puts out a better quality product / customer service ?

Ive owned both the Helson Shark Diver and NTH Nacken. Helson build quality beats NTH by a mile. I have no idea about customer service. The NTH feels like a cheap chinese watch compared to the helson. The helson bracelet is absolutely excellent. Which is funny because Helson is based out of Hong Kong. The helson easily feels like its a 1000 dollar watch. The NTH feels like a 400$ watch.

CWC RN diver is the closest thing to Omega and is not an omage as is done for Royal Navy complying with their specs.

Borealis, because Carlos is awesome and a friend. The watches are very close really. And the eta is nice to have in the Helson no doubt. But I am biased toward Borealis because of the owner.
