I've got an Invicta Pro Diver that's been snorkeling, swimming numerous times. It's a great watch. Got a few Vostoks Inc a 200m WR Komendirski and couple of Amphibias. All bought from Meranom. Love the designs and such industrial workhorses, it's hard not to be charmed by them. Great list

So comfortable, looks so cool, rotating bezel, super accurate, and amazing value-100M water resistance for $20 are you kidding me? It’s my wear-at-home watch because it’s that comfortable! I have to agree with you on the Duro I was wearing mine when I was at the local jeweler looking at Authorized dealers at various watches the Duro and my Vostok actually caught the attention of the sales peopleThey admitted that they only knew the higher end watches and actually were impressed by these little affordable watches

Hi, love your channel. As a diver just a detail. We do not put pure oxygen in our tank it is "just" compressed air or sometimes enriched air. You're right, going down to 100m is really challenging, the average depth is around 15 to 30m but we need a WR200 watch at least to be on the safe side. In our modern days, we use diving computers that help us to manage our ascent in a safe way. A watch can be a backup system but not mandatory.

I have a black Duro that I put on a stainless bracelet from another Casio diver style watch. I wear it to work every so often, and my coworker (whose spent ~30 years at the place I work) commented on it a few times. I explained that the Duro is the best diver style watch you can get for $50, and not to mention the reliability of Casio time pieces. He retired recently and his last day was July 29, and for a “retirement” gift I got hime an identical black Duro and put it on a nice nato strap. I could tell from his reaction he really liked it, and he’s a no-frills guy so he definitely appreciated the value.

I own 2 of the divers on your list (Casio & Invicta) and was summarily laughed at by my friends with Rolexes ($30K -$50K)...almost a decade later and my 2 little divers are still keeping better time than the Rolexes and I've never paid a $1K annual maintenance fee either!

Times gives some very good features that are hard to ignore.. the indiglo and the 24hr marker. I opted Timex ignoring a seiko only for its usefulness.

Not every watch in my collection is a diver, but of the watches on this list, I have 3 Duros (different color ways), a Vostok Amphibia “scuba dude,” 2 automatic Invicta Pro Divers (again, different color ways) and a PVD black-coated Loreo..this channel and some others influenced my choices, and I think they’re all great watches, especially for those of us who can’t afford to buy a Rolex, and will probably never be able to!!

Hi Jody. Ey up me duck from Leicestershire. The Casio MRW200H, I think that you could be wrong about the crystal; its acrylic. I'll stand corrected though. Nobody likes a know all. I recently buggered one up doing a hydro mod on it. Anyway I bought a battered one with white numerals from eBay for pennies. I polished it up with PolyWatch and Brasso and got most of the deep scratches down to unnoticeable valleys. The bezel looked beyond redemption (it wasn't, bleach and polish worked) so I put the bezel on from the one I buggered, which had orange markers on it. I filed down the casing slightly and bent the springs, then fitted a black and grey Bond NATO strap. It looks fantastic. So they can polish up on the glass and will take an 18mm NATO. The prices charged on Etsy are testament to that. I just did it for fun. Now I've got some fairly expensive (for my wallet) watches, and would rather wear this. Great video. Thank you. 👍

I bought a watch (their Didun Royal Oak homage) from alibaba the strap of which was just ‘pressed’ together. I say pressed, because the bracelet was only partially drilled (2 out of three prongs) so could not be properly attached. Bad Karma to that seller! No response from alibaba (as usual!), so I have since bought a drill bit and will eventually drill out the un-drilled section in the hope I can finally attach the strap. Your video today, did cheer me up, as they usually do! 😎

I have 2 Amphibia 420 case now (curse you Jodi), and in my mind it's the best watch under $100 full-stop, only to be unseated by the G-Shock squares if digital isn't out of the question. It makes the >$100 spec'd-out Chinese special divers i've had feel more like fashion watches than a usable tool. Also, for the small wristed out there like me, if you've been searching like crazy for a 38mm diver get a 420 Amphibia. It wears better than the two 38mm watches I have in the house.

That first Timex with the orange hands is a beauty. I picked it up a few months back used on eBay (it was new for sure) for just $34. I love it. There are only 3 on this list that I don't own. A person could have a collection of these with none higher in value and be just fine! (I wish I only spent this level on my watches)

if you are looking for a diver with decent lume that will not leave you alone until dawn around a hundred bucks, you might want to look further into steeldive watches. They offer not only decent lime but also AR coated sapphire, lumed ceramic bezel and a wide variety of dials including a lumed kamagawa one.

I have two Christopher Wards and a Seiko but the Dive watch that goes on Holiday and gets wet is the Casio MRW-200H it goes sailing and swimming (sometimes at the same time with a capsize) . No care taken of it , no marks or blemishes for £17

Having had Seiko, Citizen and Vostok mechanicals break before the 2 year mark or arrive broken, I would always go for quartz at these prices, up until you were buying genuine art pieces. It's 30€ a pop for an NH35 movement, plus 50-100€ to install one - so basically the price of the watch. You could have a quartz movement happily ticking away for years, and another watch for the money you saved, plus

Have 5/10 of these. Wearing the Loreo today at work. Upgraded the bezel to one with a nice pip (still aluminium though but good finish). Be aware that it's a 37.5mm insert and the usual 38mm bezel inserts will NOT fit. Few options available still.

I finally purchased a green SD1970 steeldive under 100. I felt it was better than the QA problems of Pagani, less expensive than orient and timex. I also saw the Nautica Tarpoon but like the watches I tend to go for they are “temporary out of stock”; eg Voztok. I always have a Duro on hand but I wanted better lume, glass, and something a bit more colorful. Fir some reason I keep pulling away from getting an Invicta, every time I get excited I find the case is bigger than my wrist. The smaller ones don’t do it for me. If Duro would have made a blue dial with Pepsi my problems would be over. With the money I “saved” since my budget was around 150 I bought a seiko 6309 from India on EBay with mixed reviews, for 50 US. We shall see but in hind site I’m probably spending too much time on telling time.

Of these I like the Invicta, oddly enough , especially the available 1953 "vintage" reference. But the Vostoks are certainly intriguing. It is amazing how many pieces in this range are rated for 200M and/or have quality Sieko movement.
