You just can’t imagine the sheer terror they must have felt that night. Especially Sharon, knowing that she would be the last to die. Absolutely tragic ... those poor poor people 😭

Yes, absolute horror, a scene from hell itself! This underscores for me why EVERY American woman (and men too), should be armed and receive fire arms training! EVERY woman deserves a fighting chance against a big powerful animal like Tex Watson who was 6'2" (and likely over 200lbs). A small derringer would have changed everything! I know this is an unpopular view but I see no alternative.

To think about the last 10 minutes of Sharon’s life. Worse than what Jesus went through. At least Jsus knew there was a God. The last face that Sharon saw was her murderer Tex and Atkins. Stabbing is a very personal way to harm someone. To plunge a knife 7 of the 16 stab wounds were fatal in and of itself. She had a rope burn around her neck. She had defensive wounds on her arms were she used to defend herself.

Black Cat I agree, I wish her family could have found peace, but losing the one you love, especially in that horrific way, that's hard to come back from. My grandfather had a cousin, and they were more like brother and sister, she was murdered! He kinda lost it after that, drinking, and eventually dying in a car accident in the 60s. This stuff is very sad.

It might have been easier to move on if Sharon had died in an accident or from an illness. The heinous nature of the murder made it so much more painful. It certainly didn't help that they have had to relive the murder year after year at the parole hearings.

It's interesting how Sharon felt "inferior" to Roman, when it was Roman who was screwing around on her which is classic insecurity. She was far more mature and secure in herself than Roman.
@sammoses3195
@sammoses3195 6 жыл бұрын
Don't understand why Sharon felt inferior to Roman. She was beautiful enough to have any man she wanted. Roman was shorter than Sharon. He's the one who should have felt inferior. Look at their wedding video on KZbin. You would see that in order for them to be at eye level Roman would have had to tiptoe or Sharon would have had to crouch.

@@sammoses3195 Why would Roman feel insecure because Sharon was taller than him? He actually seemed very cocky and confident. Even though I think he was a skank, he certainly had no problem attracting the ladies. Beauty doesn't always mean that a person is confident...

I dont mean the movie star Bruce, but the real person. All he did was train & fight & practice & strength/ speed training. In otherwords 2 of those chics with knives would be no problem for Bruce to injure badly within seconds, cant beat a gun, but I wouldnt be surprised if he couldnt get away somehow & come back around & fk Tex up bad before he even knew what hit him. - Bruce was working with Sharon around this time for a movie she was doing or considering doing.

This is true. I was nine when this happened and no matter how hard my mom tried to keep this from me, it was impossible. I was already afraid of hippies by then...they were nasty and smelly, angry and violent. For the longest time before my mom went and took me to therapy, I would always crawl out of my bed and sleep on the floor underneath it with my stuffed animals around me so no one could find me. Sent my mother into enough of a panic that she'd call the cops because she couldn't find me when she would come in to check on me. I was petrified that those dirty druggie hippies would break into our house and kill everyone. I hated the name Manson all of my life and cheered and celebrated when he finally went to hell where he belonged. We lived across the bridge from San Francisco. Hippies were everywhere and it pisses me off how dumb newer generations who don't know squat about hippies make movies making those nasty misfits all romanticized.

all of you arguing about why Garretson was not killed or was he involved.. no he was not involved.. the guest was some distance from the main home.. 2 . linda kasabian who was look out wanted them to stop..Kasabian testified that at one point she heard the "horrible screams" of the victims and left the car. "I started to run toward the house, I wanted them to stop. I knew what they had done to that man [Parent], that they were killing these people. I wanted them to stop." she started up the car..and alerted them to get in..like someone might be coming.

@@OneWayJesus777-x2n. This is pure speculation. Tex did order Pat to check the guesthouse. She turned the knob, cracked the door, had a rare moment of clarity (this had gone too far, it was insanity), turned around and left. Garrettson heard Abigail’s screams, saw the door ajar, went to look out the curtained window in his closet, but something told him not to. He was so freaked out he hung out in the backyard of the guesthouse til dawn. He was never the same again and was even, decades later, fooled by a charlatan who claimed to be Sharon’s baby who survived that night. He believed her and let her in, even though we all know the child was a boy who perished. That guy was never right again, if he ever was.

Kimberly if only it were that easy Tex is the one who could have stopped it and he chose not to he was bigger than Manson and the girls may have listened to him he could drove somewhere else or got them lost he was in charge the only one who was truly trapped was Linda Kasabian because her 2 year old was being watched back at the ranch and I do not put it past them to threaten to harm that baby if she did not go along I have often fantasized about being there and I would grab SHaron and shove her out the back door and tell her run and do not look back but I was not even born then and its just wishing she is watching over us though thanking us especially for recognizing her unborn baby who has not been officially counted as a victim simply for not being born which I find ridiculous as I believe that a baby is human from conception let alone 3 weeks from being born as he was so in all there were 8 victims I hope I said them all ! Steven 2 Sharon 2 Paul 3 Jay 4 Voytech 5 Gibby (nickname) 6 Rosie 7 Leno also Gary Hinman and Shorty Shea were also butchered Barbara Hoyt heard Shorty scream in the desert from where she was at the ranch she said it scared her so bad she ran away that night and never looked back she was called to testify some of the women found out I guess and gave her an LSD laced burger and it made her sick she didn't die but she went to hospital I can't remember clearly but I don't think it stopped her entirely from testifying and of course Susan did but they really did not want to make a deal with her plus she recanted or refused to speak once called so Linda was their best bet to nail Manson since there was no physical evidence tying him to the murders since he was not there the first night Linda did not participate so I can live with that if Susan had got a plea deal it would be a gross injustice to me

Yes, her face was slashed. I cannot imagine what was in their minds as these ugly, delusional, sicko maniacs were screaming at them that they're going to DIE! Linda Kasabian stated that the screams she heard were like something she never heard before. She couldn't tell if they were a Male or female screams. How terrifying it must have been.

Such a Tragedy Sharon was Stunning and she was the most beautiful woman ever. I wish She had stayed with Jay and maybe she would have never been killed . Jay was still in love with Sharon and it cost him his life . Dying together and it was horrific. @leudrerrep There is a theory on the HelterSkelterForum that Gibbie, in keeping with quite an introverted personality, was camera shy and refused to have her picture taken. How many pictures of Gibbie have you seen where she is actually looking at the camera. Out of seven I've seen, only one shows her looking at the camera. Also, her father took possession of any photographs/videos she was in that had nothing to do with the case. That information comes from Vincent Bugliosi.
