Just for context, this movie came out at a con before the team actually landed on Namek, the choked voice you hear Frieza use before he goes back to normal is actually an imitation of the voice he had in the english dub at that point, this movie was basically their way of introducing their version of Frieza and his men!

All the Saiyan names are vegetable puns. Kakkerot = carrot. Nappa cabbage. Raditz=radish, etc

​@@taecampus Just to clarify, nappa is not a direct pun of the word cabbage. There is literally a type of Chinese cabbage called "napa cabbage". It's the type that comes in a bundle of long stalks (similar to romaine lettuce) rather than the head or 'ball' of cabbage

OG dragon ball would make y’all fall in love with the OG cast. Z will make y’all understand the heart of what made this show so good (even though I’d suggest watching Kai if you want to cut down on filler, but there’s a difference in voice acting and music that makes them all different experiences. The original Japanese dub and the English dub have totally different soundtracks and sometimes dialogue at some points that make the moment hit differently depending on which one you watch.

Yes, that head injury made goku not instinctively evil. Also since you evidently didn't realize, Goku named Gohan after that old man I'm in favour of an OG Dragonball reaction

When you think about it, if he never bumped his head would he still be evil though? I mean, Grandpa Gohan would've raised him to do right and be good, I'd think. So at most I feel that Goku would've been a decent to good person, just a bit of a brat at times 😅

If it were that easy the make them not carry out their missions it wouldn't be a common thing they do. And the fact that Raditz asked him if he suffered a head injury in his life, and was right, further proves it.
