The name references are rappers. There's 2Pac, Dr Dre, ice cube, rza and a Saiyan refers to chilled as a "big small guy" referencing The notorious BIG or Biggie Smalls. Also Chris Brown is thrown in there.

It sucks how youtube copyright ruined some of the jokes like being able to use fitting end credit songs, cuz in the original upload of this, Team Four Star used the ending song to Back To The Future cuz of the timetravel plot.

This is my favorite DBZ Abridged movie, almost exclusively because of the voice they gave Freeza’s ancestor

The use of Ode to Joy as Bardock beats the ever-living 💩 out of Chilled is *beautiful.* Bardock must have felt so much catharsis from that. Chilled starting the dance choreography, leading to the Ginyu Force and Cooler's Armored Squadron is so fitting. Frieza's a little odd, but Chilled being so eccentric explains a lot. And the soldier telling Bardock "you're like a brilliant scientist" is a call back to an older dub of DBZ, where Vegeta, when he fought Goku on Earth, was making the ball of light that turned him into a giant ape, and he told Goku that he was aware of Goku's father, claiming "He was an average fighter, but a *brilliant scientist".* TFS is rather fond of that line. They even had it on their soundboard for their streaming channel (Stream Four Star, if you're interested), and would use it, quite happily, at every opportunity they found.

I think this was definitely the most lazy we've seen them, honestly (TFS, not you two). The writing, the voice acting. All just mid jokes, spoken through mid, confused delivery. It's like they despised this movie SO MUCH that they refused to spend more than a week working on it.
