This was my first mainstream concert. I saw this tour in Tampa in 1997. Even got kicked out of my house to go to this, as I was 17 and my mom didn't approve. To this day, one of the best concerts I've ever seen.

I remember seeing them on 29-Jan-97 in Minneapolis, same day I got my driver's license. This sounds just as good as it did that night!!!! And see that shirt Jason's wearing?? I used to have that!!! I walked out of that show wearing a shirt that was ripped down the middle!!!! Good memories....now i will just say goodbye....goodbye....goodbye....yeah...GOODBYE!!!!!

The solo starts so sneakily and then builds and builds and towards the end its become the centerpiece of the song. Kirk's written some great parts. I don't see how more theory or technique would benefit this song, it's perfect as is.

He’s still a great drummer in 2017. Sure he’s not like he was because he’s on his mid 50s but he’s still good for being that old. All of them are and they still sound amazing live and have the same feel they always have.

The firs time I ever "saw" these fellas live, was actually on PBS and they played Fade to Black. I can't find the performance anywhere on the net, but it was even better than this version - mostly because the solo was even MORE dramatic at the end.

@TheHarlingenLegend I recommend you teleport back to 1989...I was at many of their shows...but nothing came close to 1989..the energy of the crowd was indescribable and the band fed off that...in the mid 90's the band started to mellow out and so did the crowd..In 89 it felt like a riot was going to occur.
