I'm also really hopeful that this year Hemlock & Oak will release their planner as loose leaf paper. I'd be delighted if it was unpunched so we can punch it for whatever binding we want

YES! I told them not to worry about sourcing discs or punching, even. Most of us would almost prefer to do it ourselves, I think! It leaves the options open for rings or discs or whatever else!

@@plan2create i'm new to this planner and your channel (love your videos!) but.. aren't their layouts all online as free printables now? Perhaps not when you first filmed this though! But sharing in case anyone wants to try them. I know I'd prefer to print at home and try it first.

@@NehaBeauty yes! That is totally an option but I absolutely love their paper quality and haven’t been able to track anything like it down to print at home so I go through this crazy process instead! ☺️

Not sure how.i did not see this when you posted it. Ivebeen printing their free dated and undated printable so i could punch into my classic happy planner size. I need all these to be discbound in my life. I took have taken apart bound notebooks and punched. ❤

❤ The disc system does make it easier to remove the pages for entries and rubber stamping. I use a stamping platform for accurate placement. In December I emailed H&O raising the question about single page planners for an entire year. It’s a new company and it’s a thought I was told. The only issue for me would be the hole puncher. The Levenger and the Arc were mentioned on IG when I asked. One being more expensive than the other. 😂😂

I would love if Hemlock and Oak came out with a disc planner or even just loose leaf for me to punch myself. I currently use a Happy Planner (and have for several years) because of the disc system.

I too have the fiskar exact knife, I like heavy weight of it, feels more substantial. I just got my H&O weekly planner, I’m going to hold off for now, but you and Heba convinced me to try journaling or memorykeeping. I’m gonna try how it come before trying to make sausage😅

such a neat process, although I have to agree with other commenters that I definitely cringe at the idea of taking a book apart - they're so gorgeous, and I'm so scared I would just ruin it lol!! Is there a reason you choose to do it this way, rather than print off the downloadable version onto your choice of paper and then cut and bind that instead? Wouldn't that be easier than taking the whole beautiful book apart?

The biggest reason I didn’t download and print myself was their amazing paper. I have 32# paper and love it, but haven’t tracked down anything this luxurious. :).

You are really brave! That turned out amazing! Admittedly that would bug me personally to have pages not turn out the same size so I doubt I'd ever do it but it was fun to watch this, and I love how you plan! Do you literally just use sticker paper in a regular printer for your pics? I have been thinking about doing that and not sure what the easiest way would be.

Thank you so much! I find that the discs really disguise the fact that some of the pages are uneven in width... Normally that would bother me, too, but it really doesn't. I have a canon printer that has a 4x6 photo tray, so I just load it with my Avery shipping labels and roll. It's so easy. Not sure it's long-term archival, etc., etc., but it's working for me and I just need it to be simple!
